The first game:
Spoiler:
You have to find me, for I am lost. I am here:
Image
That was taken from the Google Maps street view of my location. I am on the empty lot. You need to find my exact location, the first person to post it wins. You can ask only yes or no questions to find it. Each question must be agreed upon by at least 3 people before I count it as officially having been asked. You have 20 questions before you loose. The winner is the first person to post my exact co-ordinates with degrees minutes and seconds. Good luck.
Note: this is not my actual location, just some location I chose cause I hoped it would be hard to find.
Note 2: The black stuff is where I covered up the things saying my location.
Note 3: I changed the location after Q1 because I lost it. The new location is withing 10 miles of the old one.

Question 1: Am I in the U.S.A?
Answer 1: Yes

Question 2: Am I West of the Mississippi?
Answer 2: No

Question 3: Am I in a coastal state?
Answer 3: No.

Question 4: Does the state I'm in touch the Canadian border?
Answer 4: No.

Q 5: Does the state I'm in touch the Mississippi River?
A 5: Yes.

Q 6: Am I in Kentucky?
A 6: Nope.

Q 7: Am I in a country with a first letter a-k?
Q 7: Yes.

Q 8: Am I west of that line (see post on page 2)?
A 8: Yes.

Q 9: Am I in a country with a first letter A-D?
A 9: Naw.

Q 10: Does the county I am in start with H?
A 10: No.

Q 11: Am I in Lee, livinston, or lawrence?
A 11: No.

Q 12: Am I in La Salle County?
A 12: No.

Q 13: Am I in Lake county
A 13: yes.

Q 14: Am I west of the line in between Antinoch and Newport?
A 14: No.

My location:

We could make this game really lame really fast by just guessing latitudes and longitudes.

Does the state you're in start with the letter N or M?

edit: Does the state you're in start with either N or M?

The answers to that question could be either "yes, it does begin with an N or an M" or "no, it starts with another letter", not "it starts with an M" or "it starts with an N". stupid grammar structure...

But finding out whether or not it's on the coast would eliminate more states, so let's go with that one. I agree with Camoninja.

So far, here's the possibilities:
Blank US Map.gif

I propose this as the next question:
Does your state touch the Canadian Border? (assuming the Great Lakes count as the border between the US and Canada)

I don't think the "In the North" question would eliminate as many possibilities as this.

For the lazy ones, if Cpt. Walrus answers yes, then it eliminates West Virginia, and if he answers no, it eliminates everything but West Virginia. I had to google where exactly the Mississippi was.
