Hey, I would be happy to do this, I even have an idea on what movies to watch!

viewtopic.php?f=22&t=51075

You would just have to post the movies you've seen, and the movie that no one's seen or the one that has the least amount of people who have seen it would be out next film! Sound good?

Alright, I'm back-ish. Sorry about my near-total disappearance, I've had a lot going on. I'll be setting up SCAR scripts to handle streaming in my absence if I can't make a session.

Nominations will begin again once sje gives the word.

Well, I have a month off from school starting about the 20th, during which time I could probably torrent movies. I guess.

Okay; here's the plan.

We're going to have a one-time movie night on Wednesday, with two sessions, one at 6am UTC and one at 6pm UTC. This is mainly just to gauge interest and get everything rolling again, so there won't be voting or nominations and such for now. The movie? Red vs Blue: Reconstruction. We might watch some YouTube shorts or do Audiosurf or Half Life after each session, depending on how bored I am/how much time I have.

From then on, depending on what you guys need, we'll work out a time for the regularly weekly sessions. It'll probably end up being Wednesday 6pm/6am, give or take Zorlin Time (and subject to change). As for movie selection, at the moment two options seem viable - A) Everyone /nominates/ movies via thread posts, movie with the most nominations is the one watched, or B) Everyone nominates and I choose after being blackmailed and persuaded by everyone who wants their movie shown.

Since I'm not the most reliable person, things'll be set up such that hopefully I'm not needed to start and host every session.

B could actually work, although I'm a little wary of it. Thoughts?

Welll, movie night was fairly enjoyable...

Will the next few movie nights be set up in the same fashion as this latest one or will we go back to the old way of picking movies?

Will there even be a new one anytime soon?

At the moment it looks like we'll be simply nominating which movies we want, and the "nominations" will act as votes too. On the day, the movie selection will be decided in a 90% fair fashion by myself, and that'll be the pick.

So... I guess post which movies you'd like to see.

Also, has Spaceballs been watched yet? If not, I nominate that. And probably a few more once I think of them.

If all goes well, yes it should be. Last time Session 1 went well and Session 2 kinda died because there was no-one there. You should probably recommend some movies you want to see.

Thanks everyone for a massively successful movie night last night.

On a heavier note, though:
Sorry for any inconvenience that it causes, but there are some changes happening to the structure of movie night.

Session "2" (9pm EST) is now becoming Session 1, and the 9pm UTC session is moving to Saturdays at 9pm UTC, as I cannot reliably host movie night when I am not there.

It will proceed as before, with both sessions having the same movie/content.

If someone else is able to reliably host movie night and has upload bandwidth of at least 5mbit, please let me know.

Wait.

If we have to move one of the sessions over, why don't we switch over both of them? It's a bit unfair that one group gets to see the movie a few days before the other.

Also...
