Books about real-life cops

Any good books about cops in real life and how they work? Best example so far is Homicide: A Year On the Killing Streets, by David Simon (which of course, inspired the TV show). Any other books?

You should read a book called "What Cops Know" by Connie Fletcher. Its a ton of really short stories about what kinds of street knowledge that cops/dispatchers/paramedics pick up over the years. I give it an A+.

The book COLUMBINE by Dave Cullen is loaded with stories from interviews of police officers. The one that I think will always stick with me is an incident where the first officer on the scene confronts that cunt Eric Harris. Now, Eric is shooting at the officer with an automatic firearm, and the officer has eight rounds and a clip.
Harris fires about twenty shots, doesn't even hit the officer's car, and then the policeman shoots back one shot and Harris runs back in the school.
