I'm intending to stay up all night to get my sleeping schedule back on track, and I need something to do all night. I couldn't read or anything, because I'll be much too tired, so I was thinking of playing a game all night. I was thinking of a Gamecube or PC game. Can you suggest some good games that I might enjoy all night?

I already have Twilight Princess.

games that have kept me up all night:
Thief II: The Metal Age
Deus Ex
Vampire: Bloodlines
Mount&Blade
So, I got tired of the fact that the appearance of my band name in my signature made my posts on this forum the dominant result when googling for my music. Anyway, if you think I might happen to be a good musician, you can test this theory here.

For the Gamecube? I would definitely recommend buying "Tales of Symphonia". It's an awesome addition to the Tales series (Which I personally love), and like most of the others, it's extremely long (Symphonia took me 52 hours to beat my first time through, only using a FAQ/Walkthrough at two points where I was completely stuck). The only problem is once you get halfway through the game you become thoroughly addicted, and won't be able to put down your GCN controller for a week or so.

Planescape: Torment.

GET IT NOW.

Less thought provoking but possibly more addicting: Might and Magic VI, VII, or VIII.

For me, the Total War series (any of them) have kept me up many a night. Also, Eternal Darkness for GC. Then again, that may have been more that I was too freaked out to sleep that night.

As to the above post, how did you not finish Ikaruga too soon? I don't think I could play a game all night if I beat it more than once per hour.

Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri. Basically it's Civilization on another planet, except much more fun. A better PC game does not exist (IMHO).

Twilight Imperium 3rd Edition

Just get 5 of your friends, and you'll be playing all night. One game takes about 6-8 hours, but if you're really slow, it'll easily take 12.

It is a boardgame, though, but honestly, it's a lot better than most PC/Gamebox games...

If by Finish, you mean die a horrible death within moments and consider it a personal best when you make it to level 2, then I can finish it in 10 minutes or so.

Cave Story for PC is amazing. It's free to download and takes like 10megs for 10 hours of fun. It swept indie games a while back and is as close as you're going to get to a sleeper hit for pc.

If you have a good PC and you really want to be up all night, Supreme Commander is good. The short 1v1 skirmishes are usually around a half hour long at the shortest. The long matches can take you 5+ hours.

I went to my local video game store (EB games), and they didn't have Any of these games (aside of the ones I already have, like Resident Evil). I'm not sure about how I'm going to go about getting them. I may just have to stay up playing risk or poker with a few friends. =/

Galactic Civilizations 2 is another 4x game (like master of orion/civ IV). You can buy it and download it online although I'm sure it's a pretty big file...

If you like FPS's, then Half Life 2 is also available for download through Steam.

Only going to work if you have a good internet connection though...

A vastly underrated game for the GameCube is Star Fox Assault. Single player is what normally gets it a bad reputation, but it's multi player is of the awesome and addicting variety, the likes of which we haven't seen since Super Smash Bros. Melee.

I will attest to that testimony.

Getting blown up by your friend(s) again and again...and again...and again...and again...was never so much fun! The hours my old friend and I wasted away!

On a somewhat less grim note, you should have planned ahead and taken a leave from the fora for three weeks, so that you would be up all night catching up. I'm thinking of just shutting everything down and getting to bed. I think I've gleaned the important stuff, so I'll just start with a fresh, less insane [s]backload[/s][s]backup[/s] (Bah, I can't even think of the right word. Definitely time for bed) of posts tomorrow night.
