Jeez all you people looking to post a comic discussion thread are completely missing out on the piles of comics which don't have threads to discuss them in. That being said I present to you the long over do Comic 1 discussion thread.
Oh and for the requisite personal insight: I personally feel like this all the time.

The purpose of this forum isn't 'who can make the most comic discussion threads', you know.

The only thing you contributed was the 'pre-requisite personal insight', which was essentially an iteration of the alt-text.

That being said, may as well actually discuss something if this has been made. I just hope this doesn't turn into some stupid board-wide comic-dredging contest.

Actually the point was more to poke fun at the people who try desperately to post the Discussion thread. Also alot of these comics I think are worth some discussion, I've certainly used alot of these older comics offline and shown them to other people. As for the insightful comment, I find alot of them to be rather lacking and just a quick sentence designed meant to be just within the rules.

IIRC, Randall started xkcd by uploading scans of sketches he made in high school, so he knew that this was the sketch to put up first
