Well, that is how my name is spelled. And after learning the very minimal Croatian I know so far, I tend to pronouce and spell things slightly differently before realizing the English pronounciation. :V
In terms of spelling for my location, that's a bit of a joke about it, I guess.

Yes, I'm going to publish it. It's currently only half written, though. Also, I haven't yet found a way to let people read it before it's published without risking leaking it to the public. Any ideas?

Also, I like K's. :)

Hello everyone, I'm Sandra.^^

I'm 20 and studying computer science in 4th semester in Leipzig, Germany.
(Yes I'm female, and yes, I know that it is rare to be female AND computer science student xD)

Recently I'm into coffee chocolate (one just finished before posting this xD). And Cappuccino..and Ice Coffee. Well anything besides the real thing :D

I have seen almost all the xkcd-comics, a lot of them are like taken out of my mind (love the "commented"-one^^).

A friend pointed out, that there's a forum here (always was to centered on the comics :D).

I hope to meet many nice and nerdy people!

Have a nice day everyone^^

To people who read past the tl;dr

Hi, my name's Ronel. I'm Filipino living in the middle of nowhere 27 miles south of Atlanta, GA. I am 18 and I just graduated high school, and now I'm studying for some medical field that I haven't decided yet. I am a car enthusiast, especially import cars. I spend my time playing the guitar, playing video games, and working. I work as a bagger/cashier/inventory-thingy at my local Kroger. I then spend my extra time lurking within the depths of the internet, and sometimes sleeping. I am a complicated, random, unexpected, etc person according to my friends.

Did someone say bacon?!!? I love bacon, I put it around everything. I also love cheese, I put into everything. And I'm addicted to potatoes, I don't know why. And also to Dr. Pepper.

I'm out of things to say. So bye. :D

This seems to be one of the fastest moving threads on the boards, so I'll go with the flow...

Hi, I'm Tom, and I'm a horticulture journalist living in Melbourne. I travel a lot, I read a lot of SF and fantasy, I have a vegetable garden, two cats and a fiancée. I like eggs Benedict, gin & tonic, coffee and persimmons, although usually not all at the same time. I really like the smell of wood smoke, I take infuriatingly long turns in games of Scrabble, I obsessively research camera bags and I don't even like thinking about the texture of blackboards. I have a moustache, and I own almost all of Terry Pratchett's Discworld novels.

I tried eggs Benedict for the first time last week, when I was in England, because I had seen them in a movie shortly before. They are delicious ... but the ham (bacon?) was very salty. Is it always so salty?

I don't think it's meant to be really salty. You could try eggs Florentine, which switches the ham for spinach and is almost as delicious.

Hello everyone! I'm Brendan. I'll be a freshman in college next semester, I'll be going to the University of Maryland at College Park next spring for Physics. I'm a huge science and math nerd (So I guess I'm in the right place), as well as just starting to learn how to program (I just started learning C++). I also play guitar and bass.

Good evening,

I'm Ella. I'm in my final year at high school (so why am I registering on yet another forum?), and hoping for as high a mark as possible (hah).
I'm an English nerd/enthusiast, a novice Japanese speaker, a D&D player, and I hate maths. Please don't shoot me.

One question I must ask, and I couldn't find after a (brief) search. What levels of profanity are acceptable? Is it an 'as long as you don't swear all the time it's cool' rule, or a 'don't swear at all'? I don't want to accidentally get myself banned.

Hello, my name is Mike, as might be apparent from my username. You might have also predicted that I enjoy myself a good waffle. I have been a long time reader of XKCD, and just recently decided to join the forum. I plan to go into the biological/medical field, planning to be some kind of surgeon or a medical chemist. I am currently posting this message from the Wii using a USB keyboard, saving me a lot of point and click with the remote. Good day to you.

It's certainly been a long time since i've posted last, so i think this merits a new intro.

I'm Seda. I play bass, and am currently in 2 bands with a third pending. One's an acoustic trio, with an electric bassist. We play kind of folky stuff, Jack Johnson vibes, lot of jazzy stuff thrown in because our lead guitarist's amazing and his primary instrument is lute. Another's a really sludgey stonery metal band, which I love. Kyuss, Mastodon, with a little bit of Isis thrown in, that kind of stuff. The third is a possible jazz trio, still unsure about that one. I like steak and explosions, and the sound of a fiery bass amp. I was once an active member but then between schoolwork and theatre I just had no time. I'm hoping to get back into the swing of things, sorry for leaving so long. I certainly hope d33p is still classy, cheese is still ornery, and the mighty jalapeno is still mighty.
