Like lataro said, I can't use my cop result because it will be biased against him. I just woke up and I'm going out very soon. So I don't have time to put out an arguement yet. I count 2 votes for amy so I'll hammer now for night so I can be back for day.

vote: amy

Good luck RR, it's up to you to decide.

Nightfall

Votals:
Sungura (3) - Silknor, Sungura, weiyaoli

Sungura is lynched. She was mafia.

This time, one of the cops was able to prove that one among them must have been part of the mafia. Accordingly, the officers proceeded to lynch that one. The rest of the officers then went back to their investigations, even though they figured that would not help unmask the remaining mafia among them. Because everyone got their actions in before I got on, the night went by quickly. When the officers got back together in the morning, they discovered that Silknor had been shot.

Daybreak

Silknor is dead. He was a cop.
2 to lynch. lylo

got town on Weiyaoli, so that makes me naive, and MartinW was sane.

Obviously...

Vote: Weiyaoli

For all the reasons outlined yesterday, added to him hammering the vote when it was requested to not be hammered.

RR, I swear to you I'm town and if you vote for Weiyaoli town will win.

Postby weiyaoli » Thu Jun 03, 2010 6:32 pm UTC

Like I said, I was asleep for most of the analysis and actions. I didn't catch all of Silknor's post saying he was going to analyze further because I just woke up. I saw a huge analysis post that proved that amy was scum without the assumption that Silknor was town so I assumed that was the analysis he was promising beofre I went to sleep. Like I said yesterday, I trusted Silknor that he was the insane cop and amy was scum so as far as I could see it, without knowing Silknor was going to analyze further, I already knew who the scum were.

I got town on RR btw.

I know I can't use my cop results to convince you since I'm claiming to be the naive cop the same as lataro.

I find it very convenient however that the N1 and 2 victims were both people who lataro was investigating. It probaly doesn't mean anything, but I do find that suspicious. Like I said, I also don't like how he didn't go along with the random.org thing. If he had stuck to 2, he would have investigated me which would have been good for him if he was scum as I also had a town result N1. Also, amy the confirmed scum had a scum result on me N1. Why would she have done that if I was scum? Also she had a town result the next day so obviously she wasn't passing herself off as the naive or paranoid cop.

I'm sorry I hammered because I did miss Silknor's post and that's the truth.

First, to your post above this, if you weren't too busy trying to manufacture false evidence, you'd realize that it was that I really didn't give a crap what the offset was, I even went so far as to clearly bold my saying so that I don't care.

To the real point though. I am willing to swear on the sanctity of all life and more that in this case, I am telling the truth to RR and that I am town and you are scum.

Are you really willing to swear the same in this case? It is one thing to lie as you are now, but are you willing to put all that on the line to swear to the same statement against me for the sake of winning some online forum game?

Final point, and post, I really don't care in the end who RR chooses to believe, as I've said, my personal, though unofficial, win condition is satisfied.

Yes I am willing to swear. God, are you really that desperate? Like you said, this is a forum game  This is like asking people if they are scum or town. Obviously you don't expect an answer.

I realized you said you didn't care what the offset was, but all the effort you put in to typing all of those posts saying you didn't care, you could have easily went to random.org and got a number which you didn't. The only conclusion I can draw from that is that 2 somehow benefitted you in some way. The only benefit I can see therefore is that you could cop one of the other people who got a town result. If it had been 3 or 5, or anything but the 4 we went with, you would have copped someone who had a scum result N1.

If you have "given" up already because you "fulfilled" your own given win condition, why are you still replying?

OK, scum has by no means taken optimum tactics in this game, and I am almost willing to wager the game on that fact, and on my intuition.

Weiyaloi was quick to hammer, despite me saying I would, he also picked me to investigate - a target which gives him - and me - no information whatsoever. A scum result on Lataro might have leaned me towards Lataro being scum. There was also a hint of desperation in that last post, potentially as he realised his mistake.

What does bug me is the fact that Lataro's targets have been killed twice. I know from 1959 that Lataro is fond of wine. However, most of his tactics in 1959 was based on subtly flawed arguments, which I've not been able to see. Like I said, I'm not happy to be put in this position, but in it I am.

Vote: Weiyaloi. Or however he spells his name.

2 votes, the game is over. What is said after you vote means absolutely nothing. Once lynch votes are reached, there is no going back, even if the mod didn't announce it yet, the decision is final. The game IS over.

I AM the cop. Town DID win.

ah, I gotcha now. Yeah... well, to be fair, I was never really trying to convince you in 1959 that I was a cop, I mean, it would of be futile.

Votals:
weiyaoli (2) - Lataro, RoadieRich
Lataro (1) - weiyaoli

weiyaoli is lynched. He/She was mafia.

RoadieRich decided to go with his intuition, and together with Lataro, they lynched Sungura. After 4 days of effort, the officers of xkcdia had finally gotten rid of the mafia from their own ranks.

Game Over. The cops and cop analyzer win.

Whee!

That said, this was my first dethy game and I didn't really know what to expect, I think the main force behind this win was Silknor and his ability to prove that the strat he had at the start was sound.

Three cheers for Silknor!

Hmm... Awake now... But really town deserved to lose for this reasoning. I 'copped' Silknor N1 and then lataro N2. What else did you expect RR? Yes I copped lataro twice and got different results(!) or let's cop lataro or silknor again wheeeeeee.

Otherwise:
