real time games?

Postby captainwalrus » Thu Dec 31, 2009 7:35 pm UTC

Do you guys ever do any real time mafia games, where the whole game take place in one sitting? They are usually just with like 5 players or so, and they go fast. They are a lot of fun, as long as you don't take them too seriously.

How often are enough people online to do RT games? Are most people here in the northern hemisphere?

Generally we do games on IRC. A little quicker and a bit more security than doing it on the forum (you can see who's still on).

#xkcdmafia on irc.xkcd.com if you're interested.

Are there any pickup games there? Those could be interesting.

Also, #mafia on the same server often has a few people playing.

If there are enough people on, yeah. At least there used to be. Haven't been on in a while.
