Ah, the mantra of every parent since the dawn of humanity.... Well, possibly not for so long, but pretty sure for about the last 200 years. .

Now think carefully... WHERE MIGHT HE HAVE GOTTEN THAT FROM?! (I'm sure you'll figure it out)
You, sir, name? wrote:[*] Search for large files; they're either movies or.. movies
Hmpf, yes - it's me, who will make a backup of the files when it becomes apparent a drive is about to crash... trying to remove all temporary and cache files and reducing the amount of total space needed.... or who'll move/remove unneeded files when the disk fills up on an old group computer... Guess what you'll find when you look what's taking up all that space... well, mainly experimental data, of course... but also... right.

Dude... ever heard of something called the the 'magic number' of files?

Reading the way they do it, you should write it as "experts".

And so you lose your innocence :-
P I guess you weren't around for the "google for X girls Y cups" xkcd if you're shocked now... (and I suggest you don't inquire further... at least not so much further as to find any actual pictures or videos).
The internet is like a ... sewage plant or perhaps a digestion tower... anyway, the smelliest and most disgusting bits float on top.
Terraxos wrote:As for the comic: yeah, it's weird. It's weird how much sexual norms have changed even in my own short lifetime. I can remember when I was a kid, sneaking into my brother's room to look at his FHM calendar (probably a British equivalent of Sports Illustrated); thinking about it now, those pictures seem so tame it's difficult to imagine anyone finding them sexy. Or is that just me growing up?
No, it's the Internet and availability... and the perceived anonymity of the Internet (of course, you are tracked in many ways really, but you don't actually see any people seeing you, right?)
I wonder if we're the same age, I have pretty similar memories there : ) — I guess you take what you get when you grow up — and it's rather scary what kids of today get thanks to the net.
And as to the last question... you're of course also growing up... you've seen one or two things by now (on a postcard, as Pratchett usually says) and some of the novelty has worn off.
I.
