Whackabanana: Night 4.2 - Spirit Sunset

Postby Sungura » Tue Jun 22, 2010 12:13 am UTC

After a long day, everyone was tired. Too tired to bicker any more they decided to grant Vox's death wish. They marched Vox over to a pretty bridge overlooking a bay at sunset and made a noose, slipped it over, and in seconds Vox was hanged. The people looked at each other, some solemnly as they liked Vox and others confused about why the martyrdom but happy it wasn't them. As they all looked back at where Vox's body, wait, where it once was, they decided maybe they had indeed made the right choice.

It is now Night 4.2

In case it's not clear, the clapping is meant to be highly sarcastic, as the lynch went through in the post immediately preceding his vote.

Re: Whackabanana: Day 5.2 - Crazy Events

Postby Sungura » Thu Jun 24, 2010 3:04 pm UTC

A new day dawns. People are confused...everyone was running around in the night instead of sleeping! So much for that curfew, there were many masters of sneaking around it. A gunshot pierced the silence and people rushed to the scene and found a shaken but unharmed Cynical Idealist. There was a bullet in the tree behind him...he was mumbling something about a ninja rescue from a mafia man. No one paid attention to his crazy rantings. Everyone milled about in groups then, unsure of what to do. Deciding to take a walk, they went to retrieve the rope from the other day, they were running low and Vox had disappeared anyway. Someone shrieked, and the others rushed to the front to see what was so frightening! There was Vox...dead as dead is, still in the noose.

Vox was the Cop Beyond the Grave, and was ghostbusted and fully dead now.

It is now Day 5.2

13 left, 7 to lynch

Day ends Sunday evening.

ALSO ANYONE WHO DOESN'T POST CONTENT TODAY WILL BE MODKILLED.

I would guess that there is a scum ghostbuster in addition to AMT, and probably some scummy ghosts that are AMTs intended target.

Ok, so if there was a scum ghostbuster, there must have been a reason that Silknor wasn't busted. I wonder if it wouldn't be prudent to go ahead and bust Silknor in that case. I was about to say that since AMT's ability was two-shot, there are probably only two ghosts, but since CI used to be a ghost role, I guess that doesn't hold.

Of course there is still the possibility that AMT made the bust last night too, though that wouldn't be bright for him to do if he's scum, since he is the only known GB.

If AMT wasn't responsible for the bust, it would probably be a good idea to bust silknor.

O_O Wasn't me, no. Damn asshole scum ghostbuster who has a clear goddamn purpose. *shakes fist* If you think I should bust Silknor, sure, at this point, I'm sick of waiting around hoping I'll eventually have something to do. I hate just doing it based on odds and no actual visible negative effects, but at this point, whatever. >_> Remember my bitching yesterday about how I hate two-shot power roles more than anything short of crimes against humanity? Copy and paste.

The mafia tried to kill CI? And he was saved by a ninja?

He'll probably make one post with a vote on whatever the fuck the most popular wagon is two minutes before the deadline. My rage, while passionate and very nearly personal at that point, will prove absolutely ineffectual. It will suck.

I have no faith in the system today. I should probably go curl up with some West Wing DVDs but it probably wouldn't help and I don't really have the time.

I'm not sure I'm in favor of anyone's continued survival at the moment. I include myself at the top of that list. But no I have to kill someone tonight because I'm not vanilla and

Ah, NOW I remember why CI would be worth killing. And doctoring. Speaking of, wasn't there something you were waiting for yesterday or something?

Sigh. The same cases against Az and Dr. Ug still hold, but at a certain point, one tends to become paralyzed by the fact that they are, in fact, here, and TBH if either of them goes the volume of posting in this thread might drop by half. Also, I like them more than the rest of you. We're not talking Gojoe-level mancrush here but still.

(heh, amusing music timing. and well you know that it's a fool who plays it cool by making his world a little colder...)

Well, despite the urgings of McCartney, Lennon, et al, restate a decent case and I will swallow my burning hatred of Mr. Pete in the name of productivity.

But do we still need to worry about the Guild at this time? How many have we taken out anyway? 3? more? We've let the mafia run unchecked, and if we don't start taking some of them out soon, we may never get the chance to.

I had almost forgotten GoJoe exists. I had mentioned him in my list the other day (it's been so long it all blends together) and I am going to call Scum Ghostbuster on him now. In fact if he turns out to be scum, I am going to call for an Azrael lynch tomorrow since he seems to be so innocently chummy with Az (although that might be Actual Chummyness since GoJoe is so recently returned). I feel like wreaking some viglante justice; it is time to stop worrying about the TTG as much as the mafia since there is no evidence that they are still recruiting.

I'll vote GoJoe tomorrow morningish (maybe afternoon?) if it still seems like a good idea; I don't like voting tired after a night out.

I've decided that maybe the TTG isn't as bad as we think. But I'm still conflicted in knowing that they're independent. But maybe they intended to help the town out from the beginning.

Now, I know you all think Az001 is town after the thing CI did, but I still don't trust the guy. Do we have proof that CI's lie detector thing is viable? Do we have proof that he really did the lie detector thing in the first place? Could be a scum ploy.

Vote: Azrael001

This game is stagnant right now, and I feel like I have no other option at the moment. If you all want to argue about this then go ahead. If you want to lynch me for voting on my instincts, then go ahead. Since this game is going nowhere anyway, I might as well vote how I want whether I have reason or not.

Yeah, that could be true, if it wasn't for the fact that he was saved last night from a NK. Really Mega, you need to read a bit deeper into the flavor text next time...unless you're really scum trying to get us to lynch Az. As for CI, I've decided to trust him, and if I can trust him, then I can trust Az001.

No, we don't. However, I do know that it is neither paranoid nor naive, as I have received results of both true and false. I also don't believe that it is insane, as I got false for "I am a time-travelling vig (one shot)" and true for "I am town", both from the same person. As being a vig implies being town-aligned, insane doesn't fit. That leaves it as either sane or random. I'd like to believe that it's sane, but I can't prove it.

Do we have proof that he really did the lie detector thing in the first place?

How would you like me to prove it? I'm open to suggestions.

Sorry, I must have missed where you confirmed Az's statement, that is great. In that case, I will Vote: GoJoe and call for a lynch on Azrael tomorrow if he turns out to be scum. I will not simply accept an unsubstantiated role-claim, and will instead believe what my reason and the players' behavior tells me. If Azrael001 turns out to be pro-town, then I will have a little more trust in CI. Until then, I will just be looking over what people have been saying and doing. Maybe I am just some hapless vigilante hellbent on wreaking vengeance, but then again, we are all part of a lynch mob.

I do have to say though, while Gojoe has been posting more than me, most of his posts are content-less. It seems like he's just trying to skirt that edge between lurking and being an active participant. Seems kind of scummy to me. I mean, I went through all of his posts in this game, and he had less than 10 posts that could be analyzed, and they were mainly him bandwagoning.

I've been debating with myself as to how to divulge this information, but I had one last power, which I have saved until now. I got to listen to someone last night. I ended up choosing TheMooProphet, I got one message and it reads as follows:
This is great. Last night I was recruited into the Militant Atheist group. The goal is to lynch the mod, all other normal win conditions still apply.

The members are Ug, Vieto, WWS and myself(TMP). Here is the kicker: The night chat I got from them just now had Paradox Police in the subject line, so I am thinking that either WWS or Vieto is Paradox police and neglected to change the subject header. Probably is Vieto since Ug is TTG and WWS is the founder of the Militant Atheist group. I don't think they are a serious threat to us, but the one Paradox Police that has died so far was a scum member, so we don't want to leave them laying around til end game.
So you know

Vote: WWS

Mainly because Will is the one who can still recruit.
