Well, as this forum game started to get exciting going into the second week, some new players appeared, perhaps motivated by knowledge of the fact that 2 of the three dominant figures (oagersnap and eggdudeguy) would be highly inactive through the week. VectorZero, a new face, got a large hed start while sellyme, the previous weeks winner was out at various functions and parties. In fact, the leaderboard was full of underdogs after 24 hours, with VectorZero, Sruixan, Kromix, Phrozt and chridd topping the board, and none of last weeks top 3 even in a scoring position. After 2 more days of VectorZero getting the majority of time and Sruixan and Phrozt sharing the rest, sellyme returned and started claiming as much time as possible. By the half way mark he had climbed up to 4th, but getting in the top 3 seemed beyond him.
Meanwhile, VectorZero had opened up a 12 hour lead on Sruixan, who was only just managing to hold off Phrozt. However, in a day of mayhem, squareroot managed to get 8 hours and move into what turned out to be an unnassailable 6th place, and sellyme thrived in the absence of Phrozt, managing to pick up 13 hours. At that point sellyme was just an hour behind Sruixan, with VectorZero in front by another 12. The next 12 hours consisted of sellyme and Sruixan taking turns to close the gap between them and VectorZero, managing to get it down to 8 hours before the penultimate day.
With only 48 hours to go VectorZero managed a mammoth 13 hours from a possible 14:42, and ended up with a lead that could not be beaten at all. All that was left was for sellyme and Sruixan to battle for 2nd, and to see if anyone could push squareroot from 6th. As the final day began, it seemed certain that sellyme would stay in second, and that squareroot would keep a scoring spot, both opening 5 hour leads. However, over the night Sruixan and oagersnap traded the hours to catch up to their opponents. Half way through the day, Sruixan left with a seemingly unbeatable hour lead, with sellyme only on about 90 minutes before week end, and oagersnap only required just over an hour to make a scoring position. However, in an unbelievable turn-around, sellyme managed to nab all but 8 minutes of the time he could, and ousted Sruixan from second by just two minutes, by far the closest result ever. Meanwhile, oagersnap logged on shortly after the week end to find that he had not recieved the hour or so required to make 6th, and had fallen agonizingly short.
Stats of the week:
First to 12 hours: VectorZero
First to a day: VectorZero
Longest time as last post: VectorZero (4:37)
However none of these managed to beat the all time stats which are still held in a clean sweep by sellyme with:
Most time in one post: sellyme (Week 1: 05:55)
Most consecutive wins: sellyme/VectorZero (1)
Most consecutive placings: sellyme/chridd/Phrozt (2)
Largest victory: sellyme (Week 1: 15:15 over oagersnap)
Most time in one week: sellyme (Week 1: 56:14)
Most time total: sellyme (87:42)
Interesting tidbits:
Over 80% of VectorZero's time came from 3 hour plus vacancies, showing the advantage of an empty timezone. Sellyme was the only one able to stop them, and it makes you wonder what the outcome would have been if he had no school.
There were 16 3 hour plus posts, compared to just 8 from last week. However, last weeks were nearly 90 minutes longer on average.
The top 5 were much more competitive than in the previous week.
ALL IMPORTANT POINTS LEADERBOARD!
