Normally, my "reasons" are weak because i pick out scum based on slight phrasing nuances that are hard to explain, I've tried, and people don't believe me and say I have no reason for my vote. But, these slight nuances and "vibes" if you will are the ones that are right, "actual evidence" tends to surface later, if they are left alive, which I can add, but the initial is the slight variances. When I'm forced to a position where I need a lot of "actual evidence" it is much more likely I am wrong because doing that forces me to look at exactly not the nuances, but the "hardcore" issues.

Personally, I would 'buy it' much more easily if you did give your actual reasons. I might occasionaly disagree with you, but I would not suspect you for it or claim that you had no reasons for your vote. I think that a 'vague' or not-hard-evidence reason is still much better than a 'magic scumdar' reason.

But apparently you've had a lot of experiences where it backfired... so I guess that was just me stating a personal preference.

If I was scum (not Angel/Angelus) I'd claim Angel/Angelus right now to make NaR waste his action. Then get him killed and claim he turned me before he died. Maybe not the smartest strategy, but it would at least make it interesting. If the kill didn't go through and he started a lynch against me I'd try to convince people he's a lyncher-type and that's the reason for his claim. Ofc it would all be ruined if the real Angel/Angelus claimed too, but it would hopefully create enough smoke and wine to give my scum buddies ample opportunity to hide or lead a lynch against me so they would seem more pro-town.

NaR atm is doing a good job at painting a big target on himself and Angel/Angelus if that player should chose to step forward. It's rather silly. I guess he's either Willow or hmm...Darla maybe? Nah, probably Willow. Hopefully he knows something I don't know, like the existence of a doc-role or something. And hopefully, if he is Willow, he isn't linked to Tara so that we lose both of them when he gets killed. I really hope though that this means scum targets him over me night 1, cause I'm a bit tired of dying early.

Alternatively NaR could be one of the many, many, many characters who's got a grudge against Angelus/Angel. The gods know there's a lot of them to pick from.

If I was Angel/Angelus I'd stand back and just laugh right now. Who wants to be town anyway? Scum is far more interesting.

I expected vector to hold out on that one, actually... interesting. Comodding this is probably good for me... I tend to poke at and edit things way too long, so coming up with two flavor PMs in a few minutes is probably excellent practice. ;D Like I said, we didn't exactly see that coming.

Thinks I did not expect to happen on Day 1:

We didn't even have (as amt alluded) flavour text for that ready, because we thought there was no way it was going to happen so early. ameretrifle being the amazing co-mod she is, though, the flavour was ready literally 2 minutes after I asked for it (honestly, that's kinda creepy). Seriously though, this game is going to have epic flavour, because amt is amazing.

Fortunately, Angel's being converted this early doesn't actually spoil the game at all, and the scum reaction (in PMs) has been hilarious. Once the other scum faction starts spinning up its powers, the game should get really very interesting.

EDIT: The Orb speculation is fun. Originally it was intended to be an item dropped in modflavour which certain characters could use to re-ensoul Angel. Then we redesigned the game without Angel series characters, which meant adding in the Jenny role to make up the numbers, so she got the Orb at game-start. Now she has no use for it, there's nothing stopping it appearing in the game in flavour. So pretty much all the options Mavketl speculated are correct.

Well, one thing I do know, though, is that Team Vampire's current plan for the day consists entirely of: ROFLMAO

We get to communicate with Angelus anonymously. We didn't use it in time while vector was unconverted. So we decided to play a little game... just had to pick someone who hadn't posted yet, ideally someone vector had contact with in another game.

And after a bit of careful editing, we came up with:

So I haven't heard from my teammates yet, and I don't want to speak for them atm. But my role PM made it sound like you're just one of us in hiding, so it's probably safe to claim - I'm ThinkSweet, Darla, member of the vampire faction. I can bite one player a night phase and 'recruit' them. The flavour was a little weird on this ... I think it can fail, & I die if it does? Maybe that means if I try to bite a Slayer, or something else, like a demon.

Ok, what's your story? I'm hoping hoping hoping you know who Buffy is as part of your role.

Not having modded a theme game before, I didn't realise quite how much people grasp at the most obscure of straws in the role/flavour speculation. Some of the suggestions are stretching theme-flavour-connection to an insane degree.
