[m] Marvel Mafia: Game over: mafia victory

Postby Vieto » Sun Nov 28, 2010 6:23 am UTC

It happened suddenly, no-one was prepared.

Dr. Doom emerged from the time machine, set with the knowledge of a future, knowing his enemies, and their enemies. After plotting his revenge for events that had not actually happened, and perhaps would not happen, he gathered up a team of some of the most notorous villains, and proceeded to begin his plot. He began by blowing up the Baxter building, and began to kill the heroes one by one until...

"Deadpoooooool!"

Let me reiterate; it happened suddenly, no-one was prepared.

"Hey, I know my text is yellow, but can you use this shade instead ok thats good I was having some trouble reading my own text."

Use whatever colour you like... Well, ok, try not to use obvious colours please, what if an actual moderator reads this? You don't want to get me banned, do you?

Not really...

Anyways, what really happened was that the heroes, shaking off their initial defeat at the hands of villainry, gathered together for one final clash against evil...

Marvel Mafia

Rules (note, they have been modified to a certain degree, so read them. Also, remember to include Marvel in any and all game-related PMs.)
Spoiler:
- There is a day phase, which has lynching, and a night phase, which has a mafia kill. All other roles fall semi-ambiguously between them.
- Some characters have healing factors. They can only be killed by either lynching them or a type of move called a Knock-out (One character cannot be killed by lynching unless it is the only way to kill him). A knock out is like a role-block, but it also makes the target vulnerable to death for that phase. A knock-out kill is a kill that can defeat those with a healing factor. Note that Symbiotes relocate if the target is killed normally, but dies from any knock-out move.
- ALL pms between players must include me as a recipient. Also, The Subject must contain Marvel in it, so I can avoid cluttering my PM box.
- no post editing, and no reading spoilers in the discussion board (that goes for you too, Deadpool)
- no content posting at night
- post to confirm.
Hey, If they Lurk, can I kill them!? Sure.

Oh boy, this is GREAT! I've never played mafia before, ever! This is even better than that time I was crushed by a teddybear moving at ramming speed! And the crazy thing is, it was supposed to smother me slowly every time I talked, but because I talked it went faster, and I managed to escape and stuff but it was a real eye-opener: SAW IS REAL! Well, sort of. I'm a really kindred spirit and stuff so I didn't really deserve it, and so it was just a hater poser, er, noob guy who was doing it.

And I'm so disappointed that Deadpool, the account name, was already taken... TIME FOR JUSTICE!!!... just as soon as I copyright my own name... where does one go to do that?

Dawn broke, and it became apparant that the showdown had already begun, though this had occured mostly in the form of meeting and building. Come sunrise, and suddenly the battle became all-out, with weapons firing from all sides. Eventually, the fighting died down a bit, and realizing no-body was getting anywhere, they agreed to meet and discuss things.

Everyone met in the town square, each one wearing a tuxedo and a mask to hid themselves (wearing costumes underneath, obviously, but the masks made them hidden... somehow). However, they did not really trust one another, especially after the arrival of a sentinal, and they all decided to split up and hide in buildings, shouting at each other, and agreeing on who to kill.

"Listen" one voice shouted, "I'm sure we can come to a civil conclusion"
"perhaps, what would you - "
"never!"
"I will not stop until - "
Ok, I'm bored. I'm getting a bubble bath. Tell me when they agree to just lynch 1 person each day, despite probably knowing each other, and the fact that an insane duel to the death would be oh so much cooler. I mean, really, hiding in windows? Is that really what superheroes and villains would do? I mean...
Of course, tuxedos and masks still on, they give up on diplomacy and jump into the frey again. A laser struck the building Deadpool, who was in a tuxedo as well, forced him to jump back into the frey, and the fighting commenced. Little did they know, they would somehow be voting for who to kill, for I am the beyonder, and although they are fighting mercilessly, they are also civilly discussing things...
So wait, I'm *ducks* fighting while talking? Isn't that what I *shoots bazooka at spiderman in a tuxedo* what I always do? Also, *ziplines with two tanks shooting everyone to death*, when do I win? Oh, and I do like the title!

<meanwhile, a random hero watched confoundedly as he listens to Deadpool stop mid-scentence to say "ziplines with two tanks shooting everyone to death">

Day 1 - 20+3 players, 11 votes to lynch
In time square, in addition to the heroes, there is also the following:
- A Sentinel
- A Sentinel with the fantastic 4 logo on it's front
- A robot that looks like Dr Doom

you may vote and target them

BEGIN!

If we have to lynch the 3 NPCs (or whatever the robots are), surely we should be targetting the Dr Doom one? Or is that a waste of a lynch since we're not taking out a player?

Mod, if we kill the maker or a robot/sentinel/etc, does it die too? Or do we still have to lynch/DK/NK it?

Depends on the robot. Robots don't die upon owner's, but it may be disabled, or something else might happen *shrugs*
