With the complexity to competitively battling for pokemon is amazing and should be treated accordingly. I play some of the digimon games, and they are the worst things ever, a digimon fan probably should pretend they never happened. Kind of like what I do with the mario movie.

Best JRPG? Did you even touch the beautiful glory that was The World Ends With You? Pokemon does fall under best 'mon game, but in no way is it the best JRPG by a long shot.

I meant multiplayer wise, but I agree the world ends with is better story wise.

I have to agree fully one that Pokemon has the better game and by a huge margin.

As for the anime I think that Pokemon till Kasumi was dropped was a good anime but after that it went downhill fast. Albeit Digimon was better for the first set of heroes after that I would happily choose Pokemon over Digimon.

@tastelikecoke I fully disagree that Digimon is scary... but I can like you b/c of your avatar of Kona-chan (one of my all time favorite characters)

Storywise I think Digimon wipes the floor. The first two seasons were great, though I feel the third season was great. It was the first to really bring the digimon into the real world and introduced a great character, Impmon. If none of you guys have seen it I greatly recommended it. It is dark, complex, and very intriguing. Im not sure if anyone remembers the scene where Impmon receives the toy gun from his two little tamers but that gets me every time.

First two seasons of Digimon, both dub and sub, are so good that I've rewatched them for fun instead of nostalgia.
I cannot say the same for the Pokémon anime.

I watched it as a child. The chosen ones are the only people in the Digiworld and they're not as friendly and happy than pokemon's. The people in the real world are quite lifeless too.

Speak for yourself. Myotismon was, and still is, a frequent denizen of my nightmares whenever I have them.

Myotismon was almost in my nightmares, but then there turned out to be another, talking blob digimon on his crotch. And then, after that, he was defeated by the power of having dreams.

Pokemon ftw. Though it has been like forever since I've watched any of this. I've always hated digimon though.
I write a blog rant here.

digimon's story was better unless you subscribe to the ash-ketchum-coma theory, which is my preferred way.

Seriously?!! Digimon vs Pokemon?!!
Greymon is more than enough to kill most of the pokemon, even groudon and kyogre might be defeated, even arceus or rayquaza or mewtwo would have a hard time against it, so i don't think the pokemon would win in a brawl, anyway, digimon is cool, they had more main character not just one main character like pokemon....
come to think of it, if one greymon would prove to be more than a match for rayquaza, mewtwo or arceus what happen if it digivolve to metalgreymon or even wargreymon? furthermore, if wargreymon fuse with metal garurumon and become omnimon, i don't think even if Mewtwo can split into thousand, rayquaza summon a deadliest storm ever, could bring down this unstoppable digimon, not even if rayquaza can fuse with groudon and kyogre or if it fuse with mewtwo and arceus could lay a single hand on it, and that's one digimon, there are still around hundreds kind of digimon around there and the weakest(if it has already transformed) might have the power as high as greymon, and there are hundreds number of 1 kind of digimon.

So basically, pokemon is finished, they're all dead

I like Pokémon, but with all the Digivolving possibilities, a Digimon would win a fight. Still, a level 1 Aron with Sturdy and holding a Shell Bell and using Endeavour teamed up with a Ditto to turn into a Digimon and holding a Focus Band?

Digimon actually has several.

Plus a character who is straight up named God, like Old Testament style. He created the entire Digital World, and is usually presented as the actual CPU that keeps reality from ceasing.

From the elegant yelling of this compelling dispute comes the ghastly suspicion my opposition's a fruit.
