This game consists of Cops and Doctors and Town and Scum and Godfathers and Role-blockers and Twins, but no Cults. Oh, and a Runt!

Mafia, also known as Werewolf (to infidels, we shall not speak of them), is a game originating in real life, but adapted for a forum setting. Basically, you have a small village of innocent people, but hidden among them is a group of nasty mafiosos, whose sole goal is to have at least 50% of the population belong to their organization so that they can control the lynch-votes. Since they cannot recruit people, the only way to achieve this is bloody murder, but not more than one per night. The rest of the town uses their deductive abilities, along with some special roles, to find these infiltrators and lynch them.
To Vote: You must bold it, if you don't and I miss it, not my fault! It should also be on a separate line such as: Vote: AngrySquirrel

Night—when everything else happens: People with night-time powers send in their night actions and discuss among themselves etc. Yes, there is both a day and a night-phase in this game.

I wonder what kind of powers the runt has? He is indie from the flavor. How many mafia do you guys think there are?
So, it sounds to me like we all want to see the runt dead, based on flavor in the OP that no one likes him. I suspect he'd have some decent abilities, such as a kill or some kind of immunities.

So that means there are two cops, doctors, and other power roles? Just saying.
Hmm well I'm pretty sure the roles which are twins it gives you a possibility of being one type or another and you don't know which one you are. For example twin cops, one is a role cop and one is an alignment cop, you don't know which one you are until you try copping someone. This means you aren't a twin? runt? I guess your on my possible list now.

It seems like Twins is a seperate role from the other, normal roles in mafia, since it is mentioned separately. Though could being a twin be a 'status effect'? If that is the case, I would assume that there is one of each of the roles mentioned above, or maybe more scum to balance it out, around 6 twins, and then the runt.
As for the title...the only thing that I could think of is roleclaiming, which isn't usually favored early in the game.
I guess twins are similar to lovers or siblings, so it'll be easy for everyone to have a twin. But status effects? I don't think you can change your twin, In real life you just can't be twins today and strangers the next day. But if you are saying for example a cop can have a twin, I think siblings and lovers can have town and scum roles.
Apologies for being offline all weekend, looks like we're still waiting for some others to show up too.
My thoughts are that the 'and twins' in the OP refers to additional players, after the other roles. So maybe not everyone IS a twin...

@iroZn: I don't think having a twin means that everyone IS a twin. Again, it seems like Twin is a specific role type, from the original post.

I'm being a bit pedantic here, but notice the fact that the first Twin is capatilized in the flavour, and then followed by an uncapitalized twin. Now, the only other time BigNose had capatilized Twin was in the beginning post with his list of roles that are present.
To me, the fact that Twin was mentioned in the list of roles indicates it is a specific role, and that not everyone is a Twin, but everyone has a twin (except the Runt, of course). So to me, the flavour is saying that Twins (those who have the specific role) figured out who their twin was. Which would indicate that Dr. Ug is not a Twin. Which doesn't mean he is the Runt; rather, it could mean anything else.
Of course, if Dr. Ug isn't the Runt, and thus must have a twin, that means only Twins (the role) know who their twin is. Which could lead to some trouble (ie people who are Twins claiming having the same twin and the twin not being able to clarify)
Yeah, I'm thinking the 'Twins' are linked roles who know eachother (similar to lovers), and the rest of the roles are just 'twinned' in function, without us knowing who has the flip side of that function. For now anyway.
So from the plural use of the term in the flavour, I'm guessing there are 2 Godfathers, which could be not so great for the trustworthiness of cop results ...

The plural use of the term is probably like how you call ham and eggs when it only has one egg on it. But on other hand...

I must say, I think the capilisation thing is a furfy, especially as all instances of "Twin" in the OP are capitalised. I'd say the "twin" in the flavour is just that - flavour, and capitalisation irrelevant.

But my point is that it's not consistent. If Twins were roles, and twins refers to pairings of all but one player, it would have been applied consistently.
