### Edited gods puzzle: Two gods

Two gods, truth and false. Self explanatory here, one always tells the truth, one always lies.
You have one question that can only be answered with yes or no, but here's the catch:
They only answer with ja or da. You don't know which means yes and which means no. They will not answer with anything BUT ja or da.
You much determine which is which.

This is of my own partial design. My original edit had two questions, but as I thought of it more, I realized I could solve it in one. Good luck.
Ghostly, she stood in front of him and looked into his eyes. "I am here," she said. "I am here. I want to touch you." She pleaded: "Look at me!" But he would not see her; he only knew how to look at the outside of things.

### Re: Edited gods puzzle: Two gods

Spoiler:
It's the usual meta question ...

Question to God one - if I ask god two if ja means yes, would he answer with ja?

If God one is true and ja=yes
- answer=da(no) as god two lies and would say da(no)
If God one is false and ja=yes
- answer=da(no) as god one lies and two would say ja(yes)
If God one is true and ja=no
- answer=ja(no) as god two lies and would say ja(no)
If God one is false and ja=no
- answer=ja(no) as god one lies and two would say da(yes)

So ... whatever God 1 answers means no.

Yep, I knew it wasn't difficult. Certainly couldn't fool many people here.

Spoiler:
I would ask "Are you a liar?". Both Gods would reply "No" so I would know which is the right term

..... I take it you mean which word means what - and not which god is which .... 'cos I can't see any way of determining which god is which with only one question

No, he means which god is which. Figuring out which word is which is easy. (Of course, you can't figure out both which word is which and which god is which with only one question, as there are more initial states than outcomes)

I did indeed mean which god is which.

Spoiler:
If I were to ask the other god to say, "ja," if you are a truth teller, what would he say?

Speaking to truth teller: da
Speaking to lie teller: ja

Moose, clever, but that's probably not allowed, because it's not a yes no question anymore.

Note that there is a much simpler solution to this one:
Spoiler:
Does 'Ja' mean yes?

Truthteller says 'Ja'
Liar says 'Da'

Heh, at first I was trying to do
Spoiler:
Is the number of correct statements below an even number:
Ja means yes
You are the truthteller

and was suprised to find the answer was always Ja.

mike-l has my own personal solution, although there are more that theoretically work.
Ghostly, she stood in front of him and looked into his eyes. "I am here," she said. "I am here. I want to touch you." She pleaded: "Look at me!" But he would not see her; he only knew how to look at the outside of things.

### Re: Edited gods puzzle: Two gods

I found a solution which solves the problem with no questions.
Spoiler:
Tickle one of the gods.

True: [ja or da], stop, I'm ticklish!
False: [ja or da], stop, I'm not ticklish!

Whichever is the first word he said means no.
