this is pretty awesome. also about 127 miles from where I live. I'll consider coming but seeing as I don't know anyone who is coming, the prospect of spending a whole week end up there is a bit...uhm, intimidating (:

This was a triumph. I'm making a note here: huge success.*

We started off with Chez Geek in the Pit and Pendulum, with a few of us making frequent journeys to the station to collect people, then we went to the "oldest" pub in England (a "fact" dissproven by the existence of two older pubs in the same city).

It was fun finding the hostel, I was the only person who had any idea where it was, and I still missed it the first time, but it looked pretty good for £15 a night.

The second day started off at Warhammer World, before we all moved into a park to play guitars and more card games (apples to apples), then we went to a curry house to eat massive plates of curry.

I had work I needed to finish, so I missed the Sunday, but all in all, it was a success.

Most of the photos are on Facebook at the moment, but people are working on adding them to the wiki page.

*Yes, it's old, but it was something of a theme for the weekend.
