I was going to say that too - so far tastelikecoke is the only person in this thread who I've definitely been referring to using the incorrect gender pronouns

It was most probably because I used the Akira or Konata avatar. I thought Weeks was female because of the avatar.

My avatar (was) also female, but I never seem to have any problem.

Your current avatar should be confusing enough for some people, anyway... :P

I'm not sure whether a fake FBI card has a technically has a gender, though, regardless of the picture on it.

A picture doesn't technically have a gender either, regardless of the person (or plug) in it. So technically your joke was dumb! :P

Yes... but when your profile page says "upload avatar", are you really uploading your avatar, or is that just shorthand for uploading an image of your avatar? :P

An avatar can be a type of image, you nonsensical you!

The only way to upload an image of your avatar is to have an image of the three-dimensional model kind of avatar.

What poppycock. Besides, who says my avatar isn't a fake FBI card? It's an obvious fake, because real FBI cards are physical objects and this one is just an image, but it's still a fake FBI card, not just an image of a fake FBI card.

On the other hand, I've just uploaded a new avatar, which is an image of my last avatar! It's a very accurate image, even!

I think that they went off on a tangent to do with whether or not an avatar is an image, or you have to upload an image of your avatar. I think that it doesn't really matter...

But anyways, if we could get more people to submit their preferred pronouns into this thread, then I have a fun new (optional) rule for Mafia games...
Spoiler:
If any player uses incorrect pronouns, say, 3 times, they get modkilled (or another punishment).

Holding people to a basic standard of respect is "fun" and "new"?

I don't think tying it to actual games is a good idea, because, as EP said, it's basic respect, and it would probably turn into a shitfest if you modkill people for it. Much better would be to talk to a forum mod (like jestingrabbit, who is the magistrate of these subfora) if someone is a jerk about it.

Actually we change our mind for we are more_people and we prefer to be called by plurals (we, our, them, they, theirs
Edit: I thought this was funny, since I'm more_people, not another_person
But you all instantly disliked it, so I'll drop it. And if I slip back into it, PM me, saying "You are one person. Your username means nothing, stop it!"
So we'd like it if you did that.

I hope it's alright if I don't refer to you with 'we' and 'our', that would get really confusing. 'They' it is!

Male, so male pronouns are expected, though not necessarily preferred. As long as you get across that you're talking to/about me it's all good.

On the other hand, dialogs with Legion from Mass Effect 2 is amusing because he used plural pronouns to refer himself, so don't be down about it.

New mafia player checking in (have played live in the past with some relatively basic rulesets). Prefer he/him/his for pronouns.

Also, "he him his ham" sounds to me like it should be a grammatically appropriate sentence - "him" being a verb something like "hew/hewed" perhaps. *shrugs*
