It was most probably because I used the Akira or Konata avatar. I thought Weeks was female because of the avatar.

Yes... but when your profile page says "upload avatar", are you really uploading your avatar, or is that just shorthand for uploading an image of your avatar?

What poppycock. Besides, who says my avatar isn't a fake FBI card? It's an obvious fake, because real FBI cards are physical objects and this one is just an image, but it's still a fake FBI card, not just an image of a fake FBI card.

On the other hand, I've just uploaded a new avatar, which is an image of my last avatar! It's a very accurate image, even!

I think that they went off on a tangent to do with whether or not an avatar is an image, or you have to upload an image of your avatar. I think that it doesn't really matter...

But anyways, if we could get more people to submit their preferred pronouns into this thread, then I have a fun new (optional) rule for Mafia games...

I don't think tying it to actual games is a good idea, because, as EP said, it's basic respect, and it would probably turn into a shitfest if you modkill people for it. Much better would be to talk to a forum mod (like jestingrabbit, who is the magistrate of these subfora) if someone is a jerk about it.

New mafia player checking in (have played live in the past with some relatively basic rulesets). Prefer he/him/his for pronouns.

Also, "he him his ham" sounds to me like it should be a grammatically appropriate sentence - "him" being a verb something like "hew/hewed" perhaps. *shrugs*

Actually I was pouring into greek and latin roots when I made this name, so it really means "SunFlow."
