What are the advantages of Skype over IRC? I know we could use voice chat which is cool, but I don't see a huge advantage in that anyway. Do we have any other reason?

I do believe that if you have a webcam to use with skype, it is mandatory to use it.

Tinychat is another option: it seems to use less bandwidth than skype, even when you're chatting to multiple people.

I imagine it makes it more like RL mafia, which is a completely different game from forum or IRC mafia. It really is.

I can be there, and apparently a few other people were on tonight as well. Just by typing in xkcdmafia I got to the chat. Brook and EH were there already. Apparently _infina_ too but he must have been AFK or something. Anyway it was actually kind of cool to see what these guys looked like IRL. Just a disclaimer before we play or anything: I'm only 17. I realize that most of you are in your 20s but don't judge me (cuz y'know you guys are definitely the judging type)<--- sarcasm. It's good to have good taste early in life no?

I may be traveling this weekend. If not, definitely up for it.

Lorenz: the basics of mafia are really not all that complicated. Read through a couple of games (especially vanilla games, if you can find them), make sure you understand the basic roles, and how basic gameplay goes, and you'll be fine.
