Thanks, but I can assure you it's real. Spent a fair amount of time getting the composition just right and it took some post-processing in Photoshop too to get to this end result. I usually don't take this much time to get a single shot right.

My camera has been battery-less and card-less for far too long. It's a bit depressing, actually.
But here's some junk.

Oh yeah, cliche-ass B&W. with way-too-centered composition. Still, I've always really enjoyed the detail of shells and the like; my grandparents had some really old ones (such as this one) that looked positively excellent. I've got some of this one in color and it looks great too.

edit: here's a color one of the corner. Really saturated color. I really like the colors on Canons. Maybe it's cause that's what my photography-major sister always used.

edit 2: fuck it, might as well. speaking of the wondrous colors of canons, the wondrous colors of Paris are... wondrous. Firstly, the sun was setting at like 11:30pm, and second there was a lot of blue-n-orange contrast, which, as we all know, looks good.

I dunno if you guys are Godspeed You! Black Emperor fans, but I am. So I like pictures of telephone poles and the like, quite a bit. and I like this one, as they go. I mean, this was taken from a moving car so it's not exactly a composed photograph or anything.

Yeah, that's what I like about it. It was in Florida, in the everglades. I was on a tour in this big truck wagon thing made to drive through the water, so I was moving constantly, but I did manage to get that shot off.

This photo was taken right before the saleslady shouted, "HEY! NO PHOTOGRAPHY ALLOWED!", leaped over the counter, and snatched the camera from me, while I conked her over the head with the rubber chicken from earlier, and then she ninja-somersaulted over me and the chicken, and I narrowly avoided the bicycle kick she astonishingly delivered mid-air but stumbled straight into her fist of DOOM! But my cousin leaped into the fray, nun-chuks flying, and grabbed the camera back while yelling at the saleslady, "SHE'S JUST AN IGNORANT FOREIGNER FROM AMERICA! IT'S OKAY!" Then the saleslady said, "Oh, from America? Fine, just don't let it happen again," and then, "Wow, I've never seen fighting like that from two pathetic college students! Here, let me induct you into my special martial arts order, STREET MARKET FIGHTING SUPER." So I got my camera back and now I'm a member of the STREET MARKET FIGHTING SUPER school. We get headbands and everything.

This was a crappy image to start with. Taken across the room with a small-format camera at my badly-lit prom. But I like what I did with saturation and an off-center crop. Quite proud of my friends, too; they got out there, all alone, and stole the show with a pretty impressive dance. Not a bad way to start senior prom.

I hopefully can go out and get some photos on Sunday. I've been using pan f plus film lately, and really enjoying the low contrast. Does anyone know about urbex photography :?:

Some. Occasionally I'll get into abandoned places, but I don't go seeking them out. Be prepared for low lighting situations and whatever you do with your camera for highlighting fine details.

Yeah - my site is offline as I sort out some messy shared copyright stuff, but I've done a fair bit. Are you looking to know more about adding photography into the urbex, or urbex in general?

I finally got Hugin. Free, open-source panorama software.

Unfortunately, most of them end up being massive - this 11-picture composite from Boston is over 9,000 pixels wide (seriously... 9422x922) and 11.6 MB. I really like it, but it is HUGE.

But here's a couple of the smaller ones; click for the full versions.

Westerly railroad station; original 1912 building

Mystic station; model for the American Flyer station

I upload just about everything to Wikimedia Commons for free use; here is my upload gallery, which has more panoramas in it.

Wow, some cool stuff in there. I particularly like the Boston one you linked first. Panorama shots are often the most interesting, in my opinion. I found a pretty neat app for my iPhone called Photosnyth that not only makes panorama's from multiple photos, but displays them on a spherical surface than you can rotate.
