I'm a Wellingtonian also... but haven't really interacted with you much on the fora I don't think pollywog? I have an unfortunate tendency just to hang about in the Woman's Thread. Not got so much time on my hands til next month, anywhos. Whatcha studying at Massey?

Re: New Zealand meet up
I tend to be on here less often than I used to be, so that's probably likely. I'm studying for my Bachelor of Nursing, which can get pretty hectic at times, but I'll be getting about a month off fairly soon.

Re: New Zealand meet up
I have decided I am probably gonna try and get into canterbury uni. I love the HIT lab you guys have at the uni. I also like the courses a bit more as well.

Re: New Zealand meet up
Well, is anyone still about? I suppose it's gonna be hard to get a meetup without the critical mass of people they have in other countries, but I'm still keen to travel half an island up or down from Wellington to catch up with someone.
Alternatively, does anyone in Wellington want to go to a pub and watch a game? Or go to a game? RWC of course.

Hi! I live in Wellington, though I'll probably be out of the country for the first week or two of September.suffer-cait wrote:Will be in new Zealand September. Don't have solid plans yet, depends on what works for people. Feeling you folks out.

Re: [NZ] New Zealand!
I'll probably be flying in and out of Wellington, I think, because it seems reasonable. I'm staying on the north tip of the south island with the parents of another ex-forumite (he lives in Wellington though as well, I believe) here for pleasure. Looking at Sept. 2-23ish
Re: [NZ] New Zealand!
Ooh - would love to meet you then if you have the time! - I'll probably be back in NZ during your second hop through Wellington.
The north tip of the South Island is lovely - sounds like a great time! If you have time, you might consider catching a flight way up north for a bit too - it's beautiful country and ought to be a few degrees warmer.

Re: [NZ] New Zealand!
I plan to, though my Australia schedule is all screwed up tonight now and stressing me out, and ugh. Perth should be the third week in August.
Re: [NZ] New Zealand!
Time for an xkcd Pokemon Go Wellington meet up, imo.

Re: [NZ] New Zealand!
So I've come and gone to Perth, and feel like a dick. But I'll be back in Wellington the 21st maybe. If people are available.
Re: [NZ] New Zealand!
The weather might be stink. But I'll take you to a neat mini-golf place if you like. Or the museum or something if it's blowing a gale.

We care. Glad you're ok. Sounded awful.

Re: [NZ] New Zealand!
It was stronger than the Chch ones for us, but still far enough not to have any real problems. Roads are impassable and some houses down nearer to the epicentre.

Re: [NZ] New Zealand!
Whereabouts are you bachaddict?
Finally motivated hubby and I to get our civil defence kit back together, since progressively raiding the previous one for camping gear, plasters, and muesli bars and then moving flats and having bits of things all over the place.
It's still short on a few essentials
But judging by all the supermarkets having sold out all their large bottles of water, we weren't the only disorganised people to get a (12 am) wake up call...
