Re: [UK] Birmingham
I can't make the 28th, but I am pretty close to Birmingham, so maybe a different date sometime in the future. That's my way of bookmarking this thread.
Re: [UK] Birmingham
Argh! Gorram exams don't finish until June the 6th.

That would be quite lovely, thank you

Re: [UK] Birmingham
But my exams don't finish until the week after! (My first exam is tomorrow, my only other exams are the thursday and friday of that week).
Either way, I'll be bringing Munchkin, as it only ever leaves my bag to be played.
Edit: nevermind, I was off-by-one: My last exam is on the 10th.

Woo! I think most brum unis finish at the same time. There's a slutwalk being organised (still very much in the planning stage, though) for the Saturday after (18th) as well. Mini meet up for those who want to march for feminisim?

Exams somewhere not in Brum, but which has rail links which after an intricately contorted route eventually lead to Brum?

Okay this thread is in danger of dying again, so here's a bump and an attempt to solidify plans.
Saturday the 11th of June, 13 o'clock, Caffe Nero (I think I spelt that correctly) in Birmingham New Street Station. For general hanging out with fellow People From The Internet. Yea or Nay?

Re: [UK] Birmingham
The aforementioned date appears possible, I shall provisionally declare myself to be attending.
Please note that despite the lovely avatar Sungura gave me, I am not a medical doctor.

Re: [UK] Birmingham
yae, as far as I can remember. I'll have to check though; I have a very hazy grasp of the planned future. I'll see if I can rustle up It Should be Real and Whelan too.
Re: [UK] Birmingham
I'm listening, but have an exam on the 13th so I'm torn.

Last year that one had everyone tearing their hair out. It was apparently just the most ridiculously hard exam, even according to the teachers.

I mean, I guess that means they'll swing the other way?

Yeah, we did the infamous seal question as a past paper. Let's hope I do well.

You know, one of the best revision techniques is to give yourself a break from revision from time to time. That way, you can revisit your revision notes with fresh eyes. Think of things you wouldn't otherwise have thought of.

That is my main revision technique. I work my way through a couple of past papers until I can do all the questions and then say "good enough" and go back to playing Starcraft.

I work by... Not working. I'm so gonna fail psychology.

Everyone says that, but when it comes down to it, nobody has ever proved more lazy and passive than me. I have a decision maths exam tomorrow. I haven't turned up to a single lesson on it. I read the textbook once; It didn't seem too difficult.
Edit: On a slightly related note; I hope I can afford a train ticket.

Just thought I'd check in and confirm that I'm definitely going to be there on Saturday. Is everyone else still planning to turn up?

I would really like to be there, but at the same time, I has an ill and would probably benefit from spending the day largely asleep

Re: [UK] Birmingham
I'm NOT going to be there, as I has no moneys.
Well, I has moneys, but not enough yet to pay for university accomodation deposit, so I can't go spending any money on a trip to Birmingham...
Must keep an eye on this thread for the future though...

Ok, I've got to cancel: there's a family meal that evening that I apparently need to be at.
