What motivates individuals and collectives to kindness/generosity rather than violence/destruction? How does Deo’s story speak to these universal themes in particular ways?
Referring back to the original post, the second to last quote incorporates the idea that “we learn through trial and error, through the process of thinking and acting and thinking” (188) which plays into the idea that through personal experiences people learn that a life filled with kindness and generosity is more fulfilling then a life surrounded by violence and destruction.

It's a quote (and some additional text) that I will be elaborating on.
courage is about knowing when to pick yourself up and whisper to yourself, "I will try again tomorrow"

Awesome lil game for the TI83+/TI83+SE/TI84+/TI84+SE calculators... it's like Portal 2 in 2D, it just doesn't have portals. (i.e. there are cubes, buttons, doors, replusion gel, speed gel, spike plates, aerial faith plates..)

say well I\'m quite entertained by this.

Myself and a few friends had a conversation over Skype that degraded into us attempting to communicate via various text-to-speech programs. In all, we ended up using Microsoft Sam, Microsoft Mike, the Google Translate voice, the OSX voices Junior and Alex, and of course one person used Moonbase Alpha.

I overuse semicolons; I know I shouldn't, but I just can't help it. There are so many times that I need to use them; it doesn't seem right to start a new sentence, but I can't use a comma, either; I must put a semicolon.

Why copy the whole thing when you know you're just going to erase the last/few zeros and replace at least one of them with a one? :P

I'll see your IIAFW, and raise you <a href=http://www.turbosloth.net/?p=207>an</a> <a href=http://www.turbosloth.net/?p=229>even</a> <a href=http://www.turbosloth.net/?p=669>crappier</a> <a href=http://www.turbosloth.net/?p=1063>comic</a>.

Turbosloth advertises itself (via Project Wonderful) as 'like XKCD, for stupid people' or 'like Questionable Content with bad art and no plot'. I like how that is a subtle insult to both.

^10

I was typing in the count in any direction thread, and had to repeat this a million times. Like so:
^10^10^10^10^10^10^10^10^10^10^10^10^10^10^10^10^10^10^10^10^10^10^10^10^10^10^10^10.... and so on.
