I get a fail to connect to http://forums.xkcd.com/search.php?search_id=egosearch
I get a successful connect to search.php?search_id=egosearch

Ping attempts give the same ip address (208.118.225.100).

Not sure how to convince firefox to tell me the IP address it has cached for a website. That could be the problem.

Peculiar, as I only use Forums and.. obviously, can read and reply to this.

CTRL+F5 should do a hard reload. The other alternative is to clear your DNS cache.

Same I address for both.

Ok, really strange -- it only applies to that one URL. Obviously at my end. Move along.
