Every time I see a discussion about who is best pony, I can never decide. It's usually whatever pony I'm thinking of at that exact moment, except like Sweetie Bell. If I absolutely had to choose, it'd probably be Fluttershy though. Her hair is a heart! How can you not like that?

I really like best pony discussions because they invariably follow the format of "'X is best pony.' 'Oh yes, I completely agree that Y is best pony!'"

Well, can you imagine MLP:FiM fans going "you're a fuckwit, Y is the best pony you mirthless reptile"?

P.S. If you don't think Pinkie is the best pony, you are totally a mirthless reptile.

So any given fan either thinks Pinkie Pie is the best, or they love her. There is no escape!

Personally, she's my favorite because I'm always going to find the absent-minded character to be the funniest. Adding wacky and bubbly on top of that is just the icing on the cupcake that may or may not contain contain horse meat.

My Little Pony is awesome. Some friends got me into it one day and I was thinking that it was gonna be absolutely absurd. I was right, but it's also awesome. Favorite pony wise, I have to agree that Pinkie is awesome for comedic relief. I'm also a fan of Fluttershy. How can you not love her?

I should note though that I'm only like halfway through the first season so who knows if other crazy stuff will happen that will change my opinion.

It being a controversial fandom is not an excuse, because he also did 2 comics on the furry fandom (not that anything is wrong with furries).

Oh, and Dashie is best pony.

I'd be willing to bet that more webcomic authors have not made a comic about My Lil' Pony than have made a comic.

That said, Randall tends to make comics on things that interest him, caught his attention in the last few days, or just because he wants to get a point across about a subject. I suppose nothing here has interested him enough - the fandom isn't reviled like furries, and if it's not his thing it's not his thing.

WRONG! Rainbow Dash is clearly the best pony of them all. She's 20% cooler than all the other ponies combined.

The frequency with which this argument arises tells you just how good a job the character artists, writers and voice actors did.

New intro! Yay Big Mac :3, though the train is a little odd, especially since it's not horse-drawn.

Crazy Twilight D:

Big Mac is king of the hill! As it should be.

I enjoy that the one time Celestia is actually effective on screen, it's cleaning up Twilight's mess.

Iulus Cofield: Oh God I hope so.

Spoiler:
Originally I was disappointed by a "Twilight is crazy" episode. Twilight might be meticulous but she isn't crazy! But then I thought about it and it reminded me of the time that Pinkie Pie replaced her friends with turnips, or that time when Applejack took on all the jobs, and so on. When I talked to another brony about it, he had a very similar reaction to the insane Pinkie episode (she's his favorite pony), which suggests to me I shouldn't weight my reaction very highly. Part of me is worried about Flanderization- Twilight's organization, rather than being useful enough to wrap up winter on time was so over the top that it gave Spike a repetitive stress injury, Rarity's dramatic nature turned into three "worst thing evers," and the Cutie Mark Crusaders reprised their role as squabbling children. But there was a bunch of Big Mac characterization I liked, so I should probably interpret this episode as hyperbole rather than a permanent shift.

I'll start out with saying Twilight's my favorite. But that doesn't detract from any of the other mane six.

On the latest episode:
Spoiler:
Even though Twilight's my favorite, I still really liked this one -- I dunno, maybe since (a) I liked seeing "Party of One", and (b) I really related to it. Ok, maybe I'm not that bad in my meticulousness, but there have been many times when I've been really worried about something only to be told "it's no big deal" by other folks (which, by the way, never helps).

This one makes me realize how much I identify with Twilight all that much more. KF

I heard that Dragonshy was a good episode for this. All six main chars get decent exposure, and at that point the series was beginning to hit its stride. Or whatever the appropriate horse pun is.

I second this, dragonshy is a great episode and has quite a bit of humour to try and bring people into the herd with.

Yeah, that bugged me a little. For one thing in season 1 the sonic rainboom was something really hard that dash was struggling to pull off and in season 2 she does one without anything more than a moment of screentime. Furthermore, she does that straight into the ground without needing any sort of medical assistance.

It wasn't a sonic rainboom. It was one of those blast-wavy Saturn rings that have become so popular lately. They just happened to reuse the graphic. But yeah, being able to survive that kind of impact does take the level of cartoonishness to a level that raises questions. Like "Did RD really save anyone in 'Sonic Rainboom', or would they have been just fine?"

The number is dwindling. Just today, Joel Watson joined the crowd with the latest Hijinks Ensue strip. Unfortunately, the fact that it is about Bronies was kinda the punchline, so I kind of ruined it.

Luna!

Spoiler:
I think my fun has been doubled by all of the "Lunar Republic" art that's been floating around the fandom. For those of you that aren't aware: Princess Celestia has a number of tyrannical features (her trolling of other ponies, the times she doesn't tell people important things, the fear of banishment many ponies have around her, the practice of turning ponies to stone, etc.) and so obviously the Tyrant Celestia banished the freedom-loving Luna because she wanted to turn Equestria into a Republic.

Didn't like this episode.

They should have played Luna seriously, not inconsistent randomness. Everyone was out of character except Fluttershy.

Animation quality is definitely up from last season.
