I'm surprised no one here has posted anythign about ~ATH code.
from one interpretation of the Mobius double reach-around, it is not too difficult to make a code that when run, would essentially create Snowman.

Snowman.~ATH:

bifurcate THIS[THIS, THIS];
//is this necessary, or is this only necessary if there is more than one universe?
import universe U1;
import author Snowman;
//this assumes snowman creates the program, the syntax may be different if she does not

~ATH(U1) {

<tab>~ATH(Snowman) {

} EXECUTE(WHATGOESHERE?);//what goes there? NULL?

<tab>} EXECUTE(WHATGOESHERE);//what goes there? NULL?
[THIS, THIS].DIE();//why cant this just be THIS.DIE();?

ok, seriously? you cant use color tags within code tags?...

so if you assume that ~ATH(a){b}EXECUTE(c) goes through b, and if a is still (existing|alive) goes back to the begging of the loop (possibly ignoring this inside subsequent times) but if a is not (existing|alive) exits the loop and executes c.
if you also assume that a cant stop (existing|living) until the b loop reaches the end(where it will either go around again or finish), then if b is a loop, then a cant "die" until b finishes.
though madaco is my username I am in not affiliated with the company of that name, I picked the username for other reasons.If I say things that you find rude, I apologize, I will likely realize my mistake and fix it.<wit here>

I haven't paid much attention to the ~ATH code... I should probably read up on that. It looks interesting.

I had a bit of a fanboy moment when I saw that the bar was at 100%.

I hope that the EoA was worth that incredibly long wait!

I am still wondering what the fuck could have taken this long, and... honestly I'm kind of leery. Either it's not something that should've taken this damn long, which would lead to grouchiness, or it's something ridiculously involved and plot-twisty and time shenanigans and various bullshit, throwing up even more plates into the air instead of checking the ones that are wobbling, and... fuck it, why pre-judge? Might be a piece of awesome that renews my interest all over again. But I'm not going to rush to see it the second it drops. I've waited this long and I'm perfectly content to wait longer. Also, I'm kinda expecting the servers to crash. Possibly all of them. Everywhere. XD

Probably be cool though. I just wonder if he's starting to get a complex about topping himself every time, because that could go *so wrong* *so fast*. XD (Assuming it hasn't started already. ;))

What I gather is that most of what took so long has nothing to do with the actual content of the flash or its involvedness, and a lot more to do with other stuff that he had to do regarding stores, distributors, the book, and his life in general.

So I wouldn't go into it expecting the flash to justify the long gap with its weight in awesomesauce.

Assuming the 10 minute long rumour is true, it is still impressive for one man to make 10 minutes of heavily animated Flash content in sync to a soundtrack in only 7-8 weeks of working on it. I think we've lost a sense of perspective by being given an average of 4 pages a day every day for the last 3 years.

Anyways, I hope this lives up to expectations or else I may punch a hole through my laptop!

Or not...

Edit - the Update is up now, but I can't see it right now because the fanbase successuflly broke Newgrounds.

Holy Shit.

So he crashed his own site, Tumblr (a bit) and Newgrounds (a lot). Well before the US wakes up.

Someone else said it was 13 minutes long? That's not a webcomic, that's a professional TV show.

I'm seeing some people posting looping livestreams of it on tumblr. I'm in a mood where I'd really rather wait and spoil the heck out of myself and things rather than see it RIGHT NOW (i am really goddamn weird, i know :(), so I can't vouch for any in particular. But someone might find that helpful to look for?

I managed to watch a really choppy version of the flash on a mod posted livestream.

All I can say is that I felt like I was watching a Dues Ex Machima, but the way it was set up kept me from calling it that.

Also specific events.

Also, no more spoilers from me, you can see it all later.

Or, if you can't wait, see if you can't download it from this site.

I told you bro

Doc Scratch segment felt a lot better towards the end. And this Flash means the story will be less crazy in future. There's no way he's making a 13 minute Flash to resolve everything ever again.

All in all, that was pretty nuts. I feel like he was reaching for a lot of the stuff:
Spoiler:
The explanation for how Jack got to the troll universe; the decision to kill all the exiles save one (feels like he did that just to thwart our expectation of the mayor becoming Good-Bec--I mean, fulfilling expectations can sometimes be good!); the dream bed thing (I know, everyone just assumed your dream selves had to be alive or something, but... the mechanics just feel goofy--Jon's dreamself turned into Godtier Jon back when he used it; Jade's dreamself turned into Godtier Jade when she used it--now it's revealed if you don't have a dreamself, your waking self turns into a Godtier?)
...but otherwise, I enjoyed it. A lot of this has been stretched out to the point where it's feeling very thin, but I'm still enjoying it (I think because in some part, I want to enjoy it; I've invested a lot of emotion into this work). One other thing:
Spoiler:
Did Dave and Rose actually end up creating the green sun? If so, did Doc Scratch, in fact, tell his first 'lie'?

Or, more amusingly:
Spoiler:
Was this, in fact, all an elaborate 'prank' by Doc Scratch? If that's the reveal, I'd find it hilariously clever. I suspected Doc Scratch might pull some bullshit like that ever since his conversation with Rose about lying versus pranks.

Spoiler:
The cross-session transporter was mentioned the very first time we saw WV, indirectly. That method has been in plain sight for a year and a half.

Spoiler:
One other thing: Did Dave and Rose actually end up creating the green sun? If so, did Doc Scratch, in fact, tell his first 'lie'?

Spoiler:
Yes. The last thing he says to Gamzee in the Flash is "suckers." He caused them to create the Green Sun. If you go back and read his logs nothing says that they WOULD destroy the Green Sun, only things like the Tumour is capable of doing so, and that their actions cause LE to enter the universe. All of what he said remains true, it is just what he didn't say.

EDIT:
Spoiler:
Yes, elaborate prank. His wording is very specific. Also he even SAID at one point that he would pull exactly one more prank in the future. This is it.

Finally, Offhand comment "Green sun is twice the mass of the universe" made months earlier = RED + BLUE universes. This again could have been predicted but wasn't.

Spoiler:
The rest of the reaching I feel is within artistic licence, and certainly he has had this planned for a year plus before hand, those people were always going to die at that time etc. He never changes planned events due to fan reaction.

Have you read the whole of his Formspring archive? It gives a great insight into how he thinks and is also extremely funny.

I figured out the quest bed craziness. Either you die on it, or your dream self dies on it. Has always been true. Also, I just realized what the Exiles were up to (finally):
Spoiler:
The plan was to trap Jack in this world when he showed up and blow up all the possible exits so he would die when the universe ends. They had no idea how Jack would show up, but they were sure for some reason he would; so once he did show up, they blew up every possible avenue of exit--only to fail at the last minute. Which makes sense, because since Jack destroys the universe in the first place, he had to survive to destroy the universe they were trying to trap him inside.
If that's the case, that's also pretty cool!

If even Jorpho is impressed with the most recent update, than that means that Hussie had to have done something incredibly right in the EoA!

Then again, most of the people I chat with from the MSPA fan-base had at least one complaint about the flash, and one of them implied that he saw it as a new low for the comic, so I guess it's a matter of opinion :|.

...I just know that I really liked it!

Still, I have to wonder where we'll be going from here...and when the next update is :) .

Spoiler:
What? I thought Doc Scratch was exposed as a liar ages ago.

Speaking of, my main worry is where the hell those quest beds came from. They seem "naturally" to be on the kids' planets; Bec Noir wouldn't have done it and probably couldn't have; it also looked like they were there before PM and Jade attained their powers. So who put them there? Is all the kids going god-tier part of Scratch's plan somehow? Whether he's actually an out-and-out liar or a "But you never asked me right~" liar, I don't think it's a good idea to trust any information we got from him ever, including his intentions.
