EBWOP: I am assuming that a character that Mushu can communicate with is especially important, so I am choosing to protect that character. I only have slight suspicions of Angua -- the vote is a protection for Silknor much more than a vote against Angua. We presumably have a half hour now, but I don't know if another possibility will open before deadline.

I hope for town's sake that Lorenz's claim is legit - but as I'm going to be lynched anyway.

unvote

vote: mpolo

If both of us are town (ie me and Silknor) then it would be a good move for mafia to do the kill. Mushu is probably a legit claim as they should definitely be in this game.

Votals:

Angua: 3 (Chandani, Lorenz, mpolo)
mpolo: 1 (Angua)
Silknor: 1 (BoomFrog)

Deadline extended by 12 minutes to 12:12pm PST due to Angua's vote.

Day 2 Final Votals:

Angua: 3 (Chandani, Lorenz, mpolo)
mpolo: 1 (Angua)
Silknor: 1 (BoomFrog)

The soldiers gathered, uncertainly, nervously, last night's murders still fresh in their mind. Hesitantly, cautiously, they began to accuse one another, until a bold pronouncement repelled the suspicious fingers from one - whereupon they rebounded to another, and in a whirlwind of activity Angua found herself thrown to the ground and killed, while others looked on silently from afar.

Angua has been lynched. Her role will be revealed in the morning.

It is now Night 2. Please send your actions in promptly. Night will end at 7pm GMT (noon PST) on Tuesday, October 25th.

Silknor has received a warning for having only one content-containing post during the day.

Re: Mulanfia Night 2: ...And The Body Follows

Postby DaBigCheez » Tue Oct 25, 2011 7:00 pm UTC

The night passed quietly - too quietly. A stifling stillness pervaded the camp, with not a breath of wind stirring the air. Even the normal chirping of crickets was absent...

Angua is dead. She was Cri-Kee the Lucky Cricket (Doctor), Chinese Army.

The six remaining soldiers awoke to that same eerie quiet, and prepared to set about the day’s work. Was the night’s quietude the calm before the storm, or the silence of the grave?

It is now Day Three. Deadline set for Friday, October 28th at 7:00pm GMT (noon PST) - 72 hours from now.

Six players alive. Four votes to lynch.

Dang! See what happens when we wait till the last second to place a vote in? There's no way we can win if town doesn't even vote. At least we managed to avoid all night-kills tonight.

So... Votals before my claim
Silknor: 2 (Angua, BoomFrog)
Chandani: 1 (Lorenz)
Lorenz: 1 (mpolo)

Votals after my claim:
Angua: 3 (Chandani, Lorenz, mpolo)
mpolo: 1 (Angua)
Silknor: 1 (BoomFrog)

Not Voting: Silknor, Webby

there must have been at least 4 town yesterday, or we would be dead right now. That means that from my perspective, one of mpolo or Chandani MUST be scum.

For that, Chandani is REALLY high in my scummy list, also for reasons stated D2 and for leading the Angua lynch. They knew I would quickly follow. This could all have been avoided IF WE DIDNT LEAVE VOTING TILL THE LAST MINUTE.

I guess we need BoomFrog and Webby to post so that I'm confirmed town (If they don't counterclaim of course), and Silknor to confirm my daychat. Once that happens, I'm sure we can take better decisions...

@Silknor: It just seems like a balanced setup that way, looking at all the power roles town has lost. It could be 2 scum and an indy, but if that's the case, we have to act as quickly.

It looks like I have little choice at this point but to trust you Lorenz. It's a coinflip, but I believe it's weighted in the right direction.

I might be throwing away the game with this, but if so I'm going to be very surprised. If you're not what I think you are, this will have been a string of really awful coincidences (along with some very nice trickery).

I'm not sure I trust his vote, though I do more than I did originally. But I took the plunge and decided to trust yours.

I feel like either this game is completely figured out and we're just going through the motions, or 2 of us are massively wrong and the other is being so very tricky.

Hmm? I understand town has to speedvote to avoid losing, and I trust the Lorenz/silknor thing. Obviously I'm not priviy to the secret messages, but I think it's safe to assume Lorenz is really Mushu. But why are we voting for me?

webby wrote:Actually, on the off chance that I'm wrong about Lorenz:

I'm happy to change that if necessary.
Webby is playing you two, to go after the only unconfirmed town left.

Okay, how about this:
1) If Webby is scum then I am definatly the last unconfirmed town barring some bizzare bussing stratagy.
2) If Webby is town then I, Chandani, and Mpolo are scum.

In either scenerio Chandani and Mpolo are scum. So lets do away with the coinflip and lynch one of those two. Obviously this only works if Silk and Lorenz are on at the same time and we get it done before either Mpolo or Chandani get on to hammer me.

Vote: Chandani

I appreciate the logic of your position. But it's so very risky for us to change. If you are scum, then that plan has a huge potential for loss by speedvote. Even if I knew Lorenz, Webby, and I were on, it'd still be a large gamble. Maybe an acceptable one though.

Why chandani and not mpolo though? Webby also voted Chandani, so it does feel like if I and Silknor switch to Chandani there's nothing stopping webby from going for the lynch. Seems like you chose the most likely of the two to be followed by a lynch.

I'm happy changing vote if you'd feel safer with that. I'm pretty sure it's nighttime in Germany, so if we do this soon, there's no risk of mpolo's interference. Happy to vote for mpolo or Chandani, it's up to you.

If BF is scum, his strategy is just to lead the lynch to the less important scum. Actually, he could be leading it to an independent. Which is why Chandani is not a viable choice.

I say stay on Boom.

Mod: If 3 people voting for someone indicate they intend to leave their vote there, and there are no possible day actions remaining, will you end the day instead of requiring us to wait it out?

I'm not quite ready to commit yet, I see no reason not to hear from mpolo and Chandani besides haste. It's pretty obvious that Boom's point applies equally well to mpolo and Chandani from their points of view (in which case the scum are Webby, Boom, and the other). So there has to be something else, some other reason Boomfrog is less suspicious than mpolo or Chandani, for me to want to switch my vote.

Well from Chandani or Mpolo's point of view if they are town then webby and I are scum. So Scum has convinced town to put another scum at L-1. Wiether Chandani or Mpolo is scum or town they will want to hammer me as soon as they get on so we really need to decide this now before they wake up.

Since I see no reason to be reserved at this point: I am Ling, Watcher, I watched Webby N1 and Silknor N2 and didn't recive any info either night.

If all players, using the same format as a vote (bold, on a newline), unanimously denote themselves as

Ready

the day will immediately end. Any change in votals will immediately un-Ready all players. (Please do not abuse this system - if you do not wish for the day to end early, simply do not mark yourself as Ready.)

I appreciate the thought and it's a fair system. But I have to say it's redundent. If the lynchee is willing to "ready" then they can simply self vote to end the day.

Anyway, if Webby, Silk and Lorenz are all "ready" I will just self vote to get it over with. This day is going to be over as soon as Chandani or Mpolo gets online though.

Yes webby, I haven't received any PMs from Lorenz. He lied. But I think it was a good lie, and I think he's townie. My guess is he's some investigative role.

My reasons for thinking he is town are:
1. He probably saved me.
2. He knew my role.
3. I doctored him last night, and there were no kills.

None of these would convince me alone. All 3 of them don't convince me either. But they're pretty strong evidence together, and I put the likelihood that he's townie fairly high. Barring some sudden revelation I intend to keep my vote where it is. Even if changing my vote could get a marginal improvement in the chance a scum is lynched, it presents a fairly large risk of losing due to bandwagon because of the tie break rules.
