First of all, precisely what a "full stop" actually is -- I've just now looked it up on Wikipedia, and the first sentence seems to have refuted my previously-held conception that commas are included in the grammatical function... But anyway, the other thing I'm not entirely clear on is the precise rules for [sic]. I know that it's used to denote an intentionally-left-in mistake, but other than that I dunno.
