Yeah, I hadn't considered lynchers when I thought about claiming animals. Hmm it's possible I guess.

*grumbles about d1 claims*

I am patient.
I sent in passive-agressive.

With 9 players, I would guess at there being two scum and some sort of 'bad' indie (lyncher, jester etc.). If there are three scum, I would expect them to be kill-less, or at least badly handicapped in some way.

Anyone care to hazard a guess as to what the unusual mechanic might be? From the flavour I'm wondering if it could have something to do with the glacier, although I'm not sure exactly how that would be translated into something which affects the game.

Meta and obvious, but when did I ever let that stop me?

There can't be more than 3 scum. The reason for this is that there are 3 mods. You can only send PMs to 5 people. Sending a PM to 3 scum-mates and 3 mods is not possible (unless you forward everything and I can't believe Silknor would make people do that).

Obviously 4 or more scum in a 9 player game would be ridiculous anyway, but I thought I'd point it out.

I sent in Hallucinogenic and recieved Hyperactive. Everyones being much much much much more hyperactive than me though (and this makes me a very sad zoo animal!)

Oh and and and..

Yay, I made someone hyperactive in a Turbo! Oops, didn't think that through, sorry.

Although, looking at it, I suspect rather than posting X times in Y time, maybe FAOT has to vote in every post. Time will tell I guess.

I do agree that a 4+ person scum team is extremely unlikely, but not because of the PM mechanics. It'd be perfectly possible to include only two mods, especially if they keep everything on google docs or somesuch. But yeah, 2 scum and assorted independents seems to fit. Or 3 scum and a powerful town, maybe.

Also why the fuck did you think it was a good idea to submit meta, did you learn nothing from evil omnipotent Dark Loink as a meta-whale? :P

This quote answers the first part of your post.

And as for meta, it's important in situations like this, I think.

I don't recall the meta-whale, I think I died early in that game and lost interest.

Unusual mechanics: vote manipulation (individual votes), lynch manipulation (all votes, or stopping lynch completely?), no NKs (scum would have to be strong in other areas then)...

Any other ideas?

Cult has already been ruled out by the mod.

The opening flavour would appear to suggest that there are kill powers out there. And I wouldn't expect vote manipulation by itself to be worthy of an 'unusual mechanics' warning - double voters etc. aren't particularly rare. Lynch manipulation could fall into that category I guess, but I can't help but think it might be a more dramatic break from mafia norms.

Desperately trying to think of weird mechanics - what if our animals can EVOLVE?

Thus gaining extra powers. Or.. something?

I kind of accidentally disappeared for a little over 24 hours (reading, but not posting). Sorry about that. I might as well say that my "Relentless" means that I can't change my vote (until the next day). Which means that I am going to hold off on voting until I am relatively sure of where I want it to stand at nightfall.

I'm sure we can think of any number of weird mechanics, but I don't think that's going to help a lot until we actually have some results of those weird mechanics to analyze.

There's no point him replying, to then use up one of his potential votees.

So we have two claimed vote restrictions, anyone else want to claim anything we should know?

My point being, we don't want to know if he can revote at all, I think. Everyone who he had already voted for would know they'd be harder to lynch that day, and that includes scum. He's been hinting at the answer, but I think it's best if it's not made explicit one way or the other.

Only two posts from webby so far, I want to hear more of what he has to say.

Currently, I'm looking at voting Mav. Town Mav with a restriction would normally tell-all, IMO. Current Mav with a restriction hasn't done that. Hence, suspicion.

IGMEOY: FAOT

His role is sounding very similar to one we've already had in a zoo game before, and I would expect more originality from Silknor. I think I want to hear more about the mechanics of FAOT's voting abilities, particularly with regards to what exactly constitutes his need to vote 'frequently'.

Incidentally, does anybody want to claim that they don't have a vote related power/restriction?

1. Do you think anybody is likely to have made a falseclaim about their state of mind (either sent or recieved)? If so who?
2. Who would you rather lynch: Mav or Roband?
3. If we get no signs of life from Thirdkoopa, but the mod refuses to modkill this early, would you support a lurker lynch?

Contentless posts by anyone else would result in suspicion. As it is, I don't really know TK's play style, so (s)he could not be familiar with how serious it is to not post content.

IT IS VERY SERIOUS TO POST CONTENT.

Ok, now I'd consider a lynch due to contentless posts :)

Assuming that TK's posts are genuinely contentless, and that no other leads emerge, then I would support lynching them.
