so i'm going to be in germany from about the 1st of august through till the 10th. i want to spend the first several days in berlin, and then i will be heading to hildesheim for the rest of the trip. a meet-up would be cool in either of those places, let me know if any one is up for it!

An august meetup should work for me. School's out by then and I can plan work to be free for that week.

For location, we should probably go with Berlin. A few of the people in this thread already live there and it's probably easier to reach for the rest of us.

It would appear that the others have left this thread or even the fora in general. Maybe if you PM a few people who posted here?

EDIT: Work schedule is now set. I'm free all weekend.

Seems like there are two points of xkcd-concentration in Germany: NRW and Berlin.

I'd like to establish a meeting in NRW. I'll be back with news as soon as I have some.

I'd go for a meet-up pretty much anywhere in Germany - my biggest problem is timing in general, since I never know when I'm free or not. But, organise something, somewhere, and I'll do my best to be there.

(also for reference: I'm a native English speaker living in Hannover, but I also speak German "reasonably" well now, and if anyone from NL comes over, my Dutch isn't too bad either)

I thought maybe I should plug the upcoming xkcd geohashing meetup 2009-08-29 52 13 in (or around) Berlin here. Maybe some not-yet-geohashing xkcdians want to join us? :)

I'd love to attend a German meetup! Although logistics may be an issue seeing as I'd need to buy a trans-Atlantic plane ticket....

If it's going to happen let me know!

Depends on where in Germany. ( Far to the south or east is too far away, Berlin maybe possible because Berlin is frickin' awesome )

I could manage in August, if we find some place in between Utrecht and Berlin.

Hey everyone,
