Hey everyone, new to the site
First and foremost I am sorry for any mistakes/frowned upon behavior I commit in regards to this forum (fora?). Secondly my knowledge isn't all that much compared to most of you - still have a year of schooling ahead before Uni. So apologies in advance for any relatively dumb questions
Introduction aside, me and a friend have gotten into a small debate regarding Black Holes, and their impact on time. As far as I know, it is a generally held belief that Black Holes distort the flow of time due to the immense density, although I can't see a logical cause of this happening as a result. Sure, it can distort the flow of light, but I cannot see how it is able to do the same for time. Thank you guys in advance for clearing this up.
(And apologies if this is a dump/simple question, I tried to read up on the Wiki article but just got more confused - sorry)
