I name my computers for places or people in my own game world. I name my thumbdrives for the kind of content they carry. I have a very simple cellphone so it doesn't need a name. I have a picture frame with 2 usb ports, stereo speakers, wifi, Linux, and an app catalog-- i'm not sure how i want to name that yet.

I use composer's names - you're pretty much guaranteed never to run out.

Just found this comic, never seen it before (oddly).

I have an SC2 protoss theme going for mine (that and they are awesome names in their own right):

Desktop: Templar
Server: Carrier (side note, I call VMs Interceptor[0,1...n])
Laptop: Dual-boots, so it became Archon. (There a problem calling both OS's the same thing?)
