Now I live in a city with actual good italian food, so fuck it.

Andrew could write about anything at all and make it compelling. I've been camping his blog for two weeks waiting for the thrilling conclusion to a post about going to a chain restaurant and nothing happening.

That, or that particular one just sucked. Because damn, no, it's not going to be high class because it's a fucking Olive Garden, but it's not even close to how terrible he's making it out to be.

There's a problem I've been having, which is I recently got my driver's license, and now while I'm driving I find myself thinking "i HAVE the car" more often than is safe.

I like how the story has calmed down with the return to the start. Although, I'm eager to see Lalonde for reals.

There's so many ways a character can not be dead. Dreamself revival, Aradia-like robot body, dream bubbles, beta timeline, or the good old Doc had a bullet proof vest in case of Libyan terrorists.

Well, first, there's a lot of stuff ostensibly from the game that was around before anyone entered the medium-- Rose's walkthrough, the Lord English ~.ATH code, that lotus, etc., etc. Second, it kind of sets a precedent for "Hussie coming up with ways to get around death". Even if none of the previously seen ways would work-- and we've had a ghost living for a considerable amount of time pre-medium, and Doc Scratch holding conversations months and years before the beta is distributed-- there are an awful lot of ways for an heiress of a multi-billion-dollar alien-tech-fueled megacorporation of evil to survive an explosion. And thus far he hasn't been shy about employing such measures when needed! So, who knows where he's going, but I'm not especially concerned for Jane's safety yet. *shrug*

Oh, it was plenty emotional and shocking. I was moved enough to post on facebook about it to an audience who had never heard of mspa and couldn't care less.

Remember that most of the character deaths ended on a cliffhanger and it was months of real time before you saw them again. The bit where Gamzee kills everyone was much more shocking and emotional.

Also, the times when John and Jade got a crapload of cool stuff from alchemy were posted on Christmas 2009 and 2010. I didn't notice when I was archive-binging.

Why did I think there wouldn't be a thread for this already? Anyways, yeah, I've been through the whole archive twice now (finished my first readthrough on 11/10/11 which was pretty perfect) and I must say that this is probably the most engrossed I've ever been in anything. Homestuck is seriously a phenomenal piece of work. I also really like the way that Andrew Hussie talks about his work, "What's weirder? Bug aliens having boobs or bug aliens having their own Will Smith? This is the kind of question serious writers of science fiction ask themselves all the time."

But yeah, if you've just read Homestuck once, I highly recommend going back through the archive again. There are so many little details I never noticed the first time around, and bunches of really good foreshadowing. And not even the bullshit kind of foreshadowing where it only makes sense once you know what happens, it actually looks totally plausible to have figured out some of the future plot elements if you stopped and thought about all the hints. Though of course there is the problem of noticing which things are hints (all the things are hints).
