Note - Werner von Braun used slave labourers to build the V2 rockets which bombed London. Elon Musk left South Africa to avoid serving in the Army and participating in the the oppression of the country's black population. Politically the two are not really comparable.

It seems odd though - the part about the War on Christmas seems to imply that the drones will be against the Christianity in Christmas, meanwhile most Republicans would support more Christianity in Christmas.

Oh wait, that means we're even more screwed - nobody gives a damn that we're using unmanned predator drones against ourselves at all, and the only reason he slipped 5% is from doing something against his party. Image

I was hoping someone would do a UK version. Most of ours seem to be 70's or 80's.

Oops. I replaced the wrong digit with an 8 there (I made the 1800's part of the timeline by copying the 1900's and changing the 9's). Fixed now.

Seeing as how modern Christmas was largely popularized by Dickens (in the 1840s), the first cluster doesn't really surprise me. We're trying to recreate the X-mas of baby boomers, who were trying to recreate the X-mas depicted by Dickens.

I had to look up that reference, therefore mine is funnier.

To be clear, I'm not saying that jokes are funnier when the references are clear. I'm saying that jokes are objectively funnier when I specifically understand the references.
