According to this chart (excerpted from Ray Kurzweil's book)
There were 10,000 nanotech-related science citations in 2002, with a doubling time of 2.4 years. The source he gave is outdated and down, but I think it's safe to say that at the time his research was legit.
My question is, it's 2010 now, so if the trend continued, shouldn't the number of citations be in the 100,000 range? Also... is it?
