Unable to write signature

When I try to change my signature, I get the message that there is a 0 character limit. As opposed to the 255 I'm supposed to have. Like this:

You'll be able to set a signature once you have five posts. It's an anti-spam measure.

And I assumed that the Forum Games section doesn't count? Because I am sure I have more than 20 posts there.

I would point out that both of these questions would have been answered if you'd read either the forum rules or the FAQ, both conveniently linked at the top of this forum.
