You are a part of the mission team, however no other players will be told this and you will not appear in the post saying who PASSED or FAILED the mission.
Umm, doesn't that mean that if a spy gets this power that one mission is automatically failed and there's nothing that the resistance can do to stop it? So if the resistance failed two missions and this is unused the spies immediately win (assuming it's not just down to mission 4)? I thought the spy powers were supposed to cast doubt on the validity of the resistance powers. This seems overpowered. Maybe, say this power can only be used on mission 4?

Yeah I thought this one might be slightly overpowered, it's basically a free mission for the spies. I'll make it mission 4 only. For some reason I was under the impression that it would make the other players on the mission confirmed resistance, but that's actually not necessarily the case.

Wow, you were alliance too? I thought something was fishy with my faction. I was told we had no NK, and we were supposed to get 50% of the vote.

Did you have the kill? The other two members seem to be slipping under the radar, along with their roles. I just hope someone takes a shot at Chandani. I can't believe that stunt worked!

Firefly:
Spoiler:
So my night power revealed that, and I quote, "they've seen [me], but Death's plan has given them something else to think about." Does that mean that anti-town (or, more particularly anti-me) factions - probably the Alliance - know my role? Did one of the now-dead scum divine my role (perhaps by way of a rolecop or some spoiler-related power) before they died? If so, did they have a chance to pass that on to the others? I guess not - cop results are normally at the end of the night, at the same time as deaths. A spoiler power could've been any time, though.

But I might be reading that wrong - maybe it's a different player that knows who I am, but they'd be too scared to reveal themselves by trying to off me? If that's the case, I should probably roleclaim, but I think the first scenario is rather more plausible.

I want frikking ninja kung-fu powers. Interpretting foreshadowing is hard.

I did have a thought though - if Simon is a doctor (which seems 99% certain), his win condition may in some way include protecting me. And if it does, he'd almost definitely doctor me if I did roleclaim. Not worth the risk, yet, but it may become so...

Adam's on the money with the busdriver :o , but I don't think it'll stick. I'm certain roband is suspicous of T1mm, he mentioned he was suspcious of one of his housemates. Want to leave him around for wine's sake though, especially if fearless is lynched and pops up town. Wiping out ravenclaw would be ideal at this point, cops could be annoying. Will be impossible with my house being forced by town to protect him. I'm interested in slytherins power, but until it shows something up then there's no chance of a claim. Perhaps they can see peoples in-house votes or something? I'm not sure if it's as traditional as a watcher/tracker anymore.

Oh well, at least me and my house are looking very townie at the moment.

Yes roband it would make more sense if you based who you bussed on power alone. But you A. are more experienced and valuable a player and B. may not have roleblocked the kill, it may have been doctored. Not to mention you seem to have already thought up reasons why you wouldnt have bussed fearless.

Oh, and I don't know what it is about adam, but every time he posts I get the urge to vote him. Well, I know what one thing is about, trying to control our entire house's vote unilaterally. But besides that, I don't know what it is.

Firefly:
Spoiler:
If it were day, this would probably go in-thread, but it's night, so I'm posting it here...

If that button did what I think it did (insta-lynch of whoever has the most votes) then I'm really not sure how to read what it means for Az's scuminess. If he knew what it was going to do and he's town, then the sensible play would be just to wait until a lynch was decided, then hit the button. Or, possibly, save it for a possible ultra-late game scenario where town and scum are tied, then try to speedlynch using it. Conversely, if he knew what it was going to do and he's scum, then the sensible play would've been to wait for someone (a non-scum player) to have a vote on them before hitting the button. If he were scum going for the wifom angle and using it to confirm, then he'd have done the townie thing, not the 'end day without a lynch' thing.

The only scenarios I can think of where hitting the button with no votes cast made sense are where either: Azrael believed he would be the main lynch target today (perhaps due to a cop result he somehow detected?), but if that's the case, why didn't he hurry to push the button earlier - he could have made a fairly innocent-looking post in which he pushed the button right at daybreak; or where Azrael didn't have a vote today and would've totally speedlynched someone with the button if he had one. Both those scenarios imply that Az is scum, but they're both quite unlikely.

Thus, the logical conclusion is that he didn't know what the button would do and did just 'find it' during the night. That gives us no good clues about his alignment, but does indicate that if another player 'gave' it to him, that player is likely scum.

I was about to be all "how can there not have been a Matrix game" but then I checked and there totally has been, but it was like all of three and a half years ago.
Man, I wanna mod a new one...

Just sayin', so my name is down for that flavour, aite? Nobody's allowed to steal that now. Not for three and a half years, at least.

that was a friggin awesome game. The cult totally RULED. Really showed the power of the cult, once they got going they were unstoppable. Also i loved it because I replaced in, lead the town to scum lynch that day, then was culted that night xD and once we got Kells (the inventor) it was definitely all over for the scum and town!

If I recall, the cult rules for the Matrix game were really strong. It had an inheritable leader or something, and could recruit every night with no restrictions and no de-culting powers. That game was a large part of the reason lots of cult-limitation rules were added in more recent games.

Well, all I've done so far is notice that there WAS a Matrix game - I haven't looked at the gamestyle or how it played out. I think I'd prefer not to. Build something out of my own brain, rather than be influenced.

Spoiler:
Another game as bloody vanilla town. Also I have no idea how we play this*. I know that D1 is always complained about but the lack of special mechanics and the critical mass of new players (me included) will exacerbate the problem. Might end up doing something silly just to see what happens. So if that back fires, Hello night one lynch
* I do understand how to play just nor how we should tackle this particular game. Whoop, unambiguaty of the Internet for the win!

Hmmm, my Serial Killer (and maybe others) didn't get his Role PM, even though it's sitting in my sent mail folder. It's addressed to him (I click on his name and get sent to his profile), but he never got it. I since sent him another one that he got. Could I have done something wrong? Or was it a freak incident maybe tied to the forums being down last night (I assume it was down for everyone)?

This game should be really hard for town to win. There's not going to be much to go on, that's why the days are so short. The hope is that mafia and SK will play off each other.

Advertising other games in current games? AdamH, you sly dog. I feel abused.

At least I wasn't treated to raised volume, like with adverts on TV :(
The death of Lady Diana was also predicted by Moby Dick.

Ha! Before signups started for underworld, I wrote in the thread and signups that everyone would automatically be placed in the underworld game. But then I changed it so that people didn't have to play in the underworld game. So now I just want to make it extra clear that they need to signup if they want to be in it.

Looking for four more players for resistance!

Also looking for a couple of potential replacements if possible - with resistance you can't do modkills and a player being inactive or going missing is a huge problem.

Hogwarts
Spoiler:
If Chan gets modkilled for being absent and T1m gets lynched today, I want some sort of gold plated medal if I win this.

Resistance: Since the spies faction is getting significant buffs, perhaps the resistance faction should get some buffs as well? I have very little experience with this game so please ignore this request if the previous iteration of the game was too easy for resistance to win.
