You know, someone should do some sort of genetic algorithms thing for minecraft circuits. Measure fitness as how right the circuit is (ie how correct it is on various inputs) + how small + how quickly it spits out results. I'm sure there's some weird little configuration that would do the trick out there somewhere, but it is a huge search space.

I'd imagine the easiest way would be just to try permutations. Lets see. There are... (air, piston, dust, repeater x4 directions, freestanding torch, attached torch x4 directions, normal block) 13 block types. In a 6x6x6 block space, that means slightly over 2800 permutations, which you then try feeding power into side blocks to see if any other blocks change state as you want it to.

... Just need a good enough redstone simulator. That doesn't actually sound like too much work.

Thank you! The crusher is not activated currently, and it needs a little more redstone debugging. The problem with the crusher is that somewhere inside, the blazes are getting hurt. and the crusher kills more than half what's been collected. I disconnected it so that it would just hold them in, but i seem to have messed up somewhere. Either way, two potions should kill them all. And that's been my biggest problem, getting spider eyes. I even rooted around in practically every chest in the plains city, and nobody has them. Here's hoping we find a spider spawner.

Be careful, those swamps have claimed many an adventurer's boat.
(Okay, only one adventurer that I know of, but I think I lost about four boats near there when I was mapping that peninsula... Other than that, good choice of a home!)

Meem built one somewhere near the original settlement - I think it's somewhere in his caves.

EDIT: Found 3 cave spider spawners within activation distance from each other. To get there, first go to my work shack and find the storage room (the one with large windows and a tiled floor). From there, find the pathway that leads underground. Then just follow the netherrack trail. It'll take you down one level, then a u-turn, straight, and just one left turn. There's one deactivated spawner right there. There are 2 more slightly above it, that are still active (and are within range of the other one). Be careful there.

The spawners are more or less directly under the East road.

I was going to say, there is a huge mine system down there and several poisonous spider spawners. I never managed to turn many off (tricky to get close enough with all the webs around, though I think I got a couple and made much of the surrounding caves safe).

Also, there were... eight I think? spider eyes in my leftmost low chest (currently experiencing machine related difficulties...).

YA, you do still have access to the game. Odds are that either you had your username or password wrong or the login servers were down for some reason or another.

We can all help. Things are pretty much clear-cut, you just have people settling in to new locations. We're also kind of split into two continents at this point, and the transpacific railway is still in planning (and material-gathering).

Just to be safe, yeah, just remove all your old minecraft stuff (find your .minecraft folder), and download anew. I think there's also a "forgot password" option.

Nah, there are underground ravines that I've only really seen and that have barely any light on them at all, and I kept finding more mines that weren't lit up.

Also, for the main rail, where are we putting supplies for that? I take it we mostly want iron for rail?

Oh, to the north? The cave system down there is quite extensive.

We have most of the rail we need, thanks to roos and his giant hunk of stuff, so for now we just need stone and planks. Lets see... it's 16km ish, which means 250 stacks, or 5 chests. If I remember correctly, we had enough rail for that (and we have the godly gifts too). That does mean we need 15 chests of stone brick, and 10 chests of wood planks, as well.

... Yeah, it's not going to be easy, but it's going to be epic.

I was wondering if I could possibly get flying privileges for one of my upcoming builds.
I already have the design done in sp creative mode, and to think to do the exact same thing without being able to fly makes my head hurt. Simply, I am doing a version of the Arc de Triomphe, by combining an unfinished version I saw on reddit. This will serve as the front gate to my kingdom. wich would later serve as my permanent home. I am currently in a mix between 'bed surfing' and living in caves. I must first find a location for said kingdom so I don't need to be flying right now, probably until next update. If for some reason I am unable to get flying privileges ladders will do. thanks.

Here are some random images of the build;

I don't think it's possible to fly without simply being placed in creative.

Your build does seem possible if you build it in columns, have you considered that? Basically you label and set aside each column of construction, then you build up, and for over-arcs you just attach them to the nearest column.

Also, I'm pretty sure that thing is from bedrock to sky, no?
