I'm only counting miles where I manage to 'run' (for some definition of run). Or, anything around 12ish minutes a mile. Increasing my speed this 'run' really helped me increase my cadence which helped me double my distance over last time. All in all, I'm happy.

2 miles in 22 minutes. I'm pretty happy. I started a few weeks ago at barely being able to hit 1 mile in 15 minutes and now I felt like I could have pushed a little harder and gotten down to the 10 and a half minute area.

Averaged 11:12 pace. Not speedy to be sure, but considering that was my first 3 mile run, I'm stoked. Now just need to get my speed more consistent and my time down. Hoping to start running a 5k or two this summer.

@Jumble Thanks! I definitely am enjoying it. However, I have a serious gait problem that I need to address though and I'm not really sure how to. I'm going to run on my treadmill and take a video so I can get a better look and hopefully get some feedback. I think I'm doing ok on not heel striking but I'm lifting my left leg too high, especially at lower speeds. It's causing some discomfort along my left shin.

A trip to a running clinic is in order I think.

It's worth trying a few sports shops. Some of my local shops will video your stride in the hope of flogging you some shoes. Of course, some have got wise and charge a deposit on your next pair of shoes, but its worth a try.

Visiting a friend out in the midwest, and while running around his neighborhood, found the demonhell hill from hell. About 300 meters, straight up. It's seriously like one of those streets you get when you search for steepest streets in the world.

On first attempt, made it once, and stumbled home.
Second attempt, made it once at a good pace, and about 75% of the way the second time at a crawl.
Third attempt, made it once at a good pace, second time at a bleh pace, and third time at a crawl.

I'll probably get two more cracks at it before I leave and head back home to flat territory. Definitely a nice change of pace from running the same flat streets over and over.

I discovered the best running trail in my town (study town, Granada)
runs along the river up to the mountains, and you run with the sound of waterrr. the mountains are majestic at times

Saw a girl reading a book on a rock by the sun in the middle of the river!
And I finished my exams. so I had to celebrate, with my longest run ever!
