Yup, WJEC. We've only just started the topic but it looks like we go quite in depth.

My school is moving to WJEC on a few subjects now but they changed GCSE electronics the year after I finished it and now that I'm doing my A levels they are thinking of moving physics (at GCSE and A-level). I keep just missing out on this goldmine of awesome.

Not slept well in about a month, work is hell and I dont have any money until I get paid in two weeks. But yesterday I did some bloody great boulering problems (not really difficult but harder than what I've previously done) I cycled lots and I actually feel happy today! For the first time in weeks! To celebrate this I've changed my avatar to my fav picture of me and I'm leaving work early to enjoy my day. Woop!

Is that one Mars? On Sunday I was at a friends launching some fireworks (it was his birthday) and someone spotted Venus and Jupiter. Thanks to twitter, I was able to identify which planets they were and point out Mars as well. I love the internet.

Jupiter and Venus respectively. The colour happened because of camera madness. Mars was ~180 degrees from that :)

Ah, I only noticed one of the planets which is why I thought it was Mars. Jupiter was a bit dim and I guess I was looking at my screen at a sub-optimal angle.

Not sure how I forgot to post this earlier:

On Sunday, I got to go segway-ing around some woods and it was awesome. It's such a shame that they're only legal on private land here. :(

I've always wanted to try a Segway, though I'm nervous I wouldn't be able to get the hang of it. Speaking of, I've been looking at other forms of transportation as of late. Something good for long distance on the cheap.

Which makes the point of doing the lab non-existent.

I'm more of a boot guy, been wearing service-style boots for the past 10 years or so. Every time I attempt to switch to shoes invariably my knees start to hurt. But I've logged well into the hundreds of miles walked in them, so I'm not overly worried about keeping up the trend. Though now that it's brought to my attention I should probably think about getting a new pair sometime soon. The one's I am currently wearing

*EDIT 2* Well I guess this hasn't been that awesome a day for folks. Though it just got a bit awesome-er for me. Starting up a TNG marathon from episode one! Got my junk food, my lazy boy, and all 7 seasons! Super stoked!

I signed up for the Tour de Cure this year! And I signed up for the 100 mile (161 kilometer) ride!

The minimum fundraising goal is $150, but I raised $275 and $500 in 2010 and 2011, respectively, so I'm hoping to raise even more this year. I'm not sure how I'm going to do that, though, because I have a lot less time to work with this year than I did when I lived in Alaska and the event was in June, not April. But I'll be happy with whatever I get and I really hope to have just as much fun this year as I did the past two years.

SO EXCITED!

ALSO, for those who donated last year through the PayPal link I provided because the American Diabetes Association page didn't do PayPal payments, this year it does! No need for two links!

The normal high is a full 35 degrees (19 C) lower than that. Anyone have an idea how many standard deviations from the mean we are right now?
