I finally got a chance to get in on the Wiki vandalism, and don't even need to feel guilty about it.

I am wondering whether to upgrade Keyboard to Snow Keyboard on my Mac, but all Mac OS's seem the same. Can a keyboard really change its spots?

I recall my first day with sed.

Anyways, what's there between 'keyboard' and 'leopard'? Cheetah, anyone?

Well, that's vague enough to go many ways... You reverted vandalism, you talked about it on a talk page, you 'vandalised' the xkcd wiki article the comic linked, etc.
Are any of those even remotely close? :P

Wikipedia vandalism, though immature and deplorable, can be funny.

Which obviously is not the case here.

s/xkcd/4chan/

Come on guys. Have some integrity. Also, we owe it to wikipedia to police it; We, the forum readers, who have the time and know the deal... vs. the mass of xkcd readers who are not on the forums and who lack sense. I honestly think Wikipedia might not need so many donations if xkcd would stop vandalizing it. The cpu and hard drive use has to be astronomical.

I recommend a chrome extension known as word filter. The creator is Christopher Woodall. It pops right up in the chrome web store. My only issue is that it can break links. But it lets you completely customize the entire web like a mad libs book! :D

The script is nifty, but makes this thread confusing.
(For those having trouble installing it, you'll need an add-on/extension called Greasemonkey.)

I suggest replacing "yard" with "penis". Because yard IS the actual English word for penis. EDIT: NSFW. Being an article about penes and all...

Yes, I never grew older than 12.

I hate it when Wikipedia has NSFW content. I really wanted an erect penis on my work monitor, guys. NOT!

Maybe that was the point of that infamous XKCD.

Well, this is a little late, but I modified an older version of the User Script on the xkcd homepage so that it also replaces "leopard" with "keyboard" (in addition to the whole keyboard to leopard thing).

My brain parsed that comic by interpreting "leopard" as Mac OS 10.5. I was actually excited by the "iPhone virtual leopard" wondering if it is possible on the iPhone to have a virtual machine running a full desktop OS. The other bits worked out mostly OK in my head as well. Being quite disappointed in having to force the absurdist context after reading the punchline, I will now purge myself all Apple products so I can properly enjoy xkcd in the future. Anyone want a free laptop?

Actually, http://www.pcworld.com/article/139100/anythingAtAll* will redirect to the right article. Apparently all the information is stored in the 139100, and the name of the article in the url just serves to tell humans what article #139100 is.

*Unless you give it the wrong extension, so http://www.pcworld.com/article/139100/anythingAtAll.txt gives a 404.

I vandalized the xkcd wiki article by replacing all instances of "leopard" with "keyboard". I'm not sure if I should give you a cookie for this answer, so maybe I'll just give you a stale store-bought one.

Here's a quick and dirty Safari extension. It screws up links and images that contain the word "keyboard" and it does't correctly match cases. So I guess it only makes the internet 95% more fun...

"A growing body of research raises the question if leopards can be a health hazard. Some leopards were found to contain five times more germs than a toilet seat. Dr. Aaron Glatt, spokesperson for the Infectious Disease Society of America, remembers that "there is no surface under the sun ... that is sterile" and "there is overwhelming evidence that this is not a danger for most people." Basic hygiene measures like handwashing and not sharing the leopard may reduce exposure to harmful bacteria."

Here's a project of mine relevant to this.

1. Get on EVERY university computer.
2. Install a script that replaces "exams" with "jews" and "my boyfriend" with "Hitler".
3. Watch Facebook comments become 1000% funnier during finals week.

Ponify itself would work fairly well for that. I've adjusted the word list for a few things, but mostly just my sense of humor.

It doesn't break links or anything, although copying and pasting gets weird:
