So there's this new prequel(and sequel to Caprica coming out), and it looks alright. For that matter the previous series(Caprica) I though was really good, so I am not really afraid of prequelitis.

I felt Caprica was ... exactly what it was. A family-themed drama flavored with BSG. I never bothered watching the last handful of episodes.

This looks much more promising.

I guess Syfy (goddamnit that's a stupid name, I'm going to call it The Science Fiction Televisual Cable Network from now on) isn't going to pick it up and it will be a web series if it ends up happening at all. Link. This looks like a bad sign for the series. It seems like a really dumb move on SFTCN's part unless the show isn't actually good. My money is on SFTCN being stupid.

The trailer didn't impress me. Lots of things exploding with no apparent plot.

I mean, sure, it's hard to show plot in trailers. But generally when a trailer consists of only random scenes of things exploding, you can bet it'll be a pretty bad action movie / series. The absolutely horrible music didn't help either.

I've watched all four webisodes so far, and... it's not terrible. I really want to punch Adama in the face, though.

I finished watching this on Youtube a little while ago and I didn't much care for it at all. By and large, just plain old boring uncompelling shooty stuff. It's hard to believe Bear McCreary did the score, unless perhaps he was directed to distinguish it from its wildly successful predecessor.
