That is only true if the kill hits town, and not a reaver. If there are two reavers, then if we lynch one, and the kill hits another, then there will still be one person recruited. That is, unless by dying during the night, they don't get their recruit off. If someone wants to tell us whether they get to pm the others immediately, or has to wait, that would be good.

Iff we get two reavers tonight, then we can think about maybe looking for more alliance.

If Amy is unrecruitable as she claims, the reavers aren't going to be able to recruit her.

In fact, they won't even bother trying. Therefore the only other option IS town being recruited.

Yeah ok, I'm just aware that you can make edits very quickly on the board without it showing as an edit.

Ok - my point is that Amy wants to kill town. She wants there to be as few factions around as possible, so less people can gang up on her in future (potentially). She's trying to make it "town vs reavers" and coast along to an easy win.
She will kill town, as reavers will recruit town (no point recruiting Amy). Thus leaving just one townie. That townie is then a kingmaker of sorts, either lynching a reaver with Amy or lynching Amy with the reavers.

If we remove the kill, town can still win. If the kill remains in play, we lose, but we can still decide who wins.

I need to qualify something from a previous post:

roband wrote:You're still not denying being Alliance. I do not want an Alliance kill active tonight - or town are definitely boned.

If there are only 2 reavers, we can be recruited and still win, if we lynch Alliance. Even if we lynch a reaver, one kill and one recruit leaves us losing.

I'm going to say that again because it's important,

If there are only 2 reavers, we can be recruited and still win, if we lynch Alliance. Even if we lynch a reaver, one kill and one recruit leaves us losing.

You're trying to mislead town, in my opinion.

If there are only 2 reavers, one of town can be recruited YET TOWN CAN STILL WIN. I was not inferring that I would play against my faction. Sorry Mr Mod :P

The best I can get to a WTF raising eyebrow emoticon: :|

Roband, your continuing attack on your fellow townie makes is really starting to make it hard for me to believe you especially with this recent outpour of unsubstantiated conjecture that makes no sense when aligned with the facts of what has happened in this game so far. You are creating a false dichotomy that is not needed right now when we need a unified townie front. The fact that you seem to fail to see this is starting to make me agree with Az about you, after all, I have been attacking reavers since the start, and you have been attacking me since the start. If there is a third reaver (which recruit every night there are 3 left), you do make sense to be that person, especially in light of your recent few posts. After all with a third reaver that is two tonight and with a kill of one still leaves one + recruit and 2 starting tomorrow, so Angua would probably be fine to sacrifice you especially because she's been the lowest suspected except by me which her + unknown recruit puts her/reavers still in a good position tomorrow with two strong minimum and only 5 players left and she looks better for taking out a reaver putting her under less suspicion and the recruit would be unknown. With bf (indie), me, and misnomer (also unclaimed) left, the chances of getting one of us to vote the other then is high and leads reaver win. Of course this is speculation as well however I think more logical than you claiming I'm alliance.

So I'll just leave it alone for a bit with this simple fact: Town would want a vig alive. Reavers would want a vig dead.

Whatever. If you believe BoomFrog's claim over mine, that's fine.
I have honestly lost all interest in this game again. I'm doing my best to see it logically, when I suck at that side of things. And my gut isn't even that good either. Unless you end up being Alliance and then it's because I didn't push hard enough? Because I let myself be pushed around by you? I can't win here, because you're Amazing Amy Always Almighty (also alliterative) - anyways, adios.

Even if Amy is the last alliance member, she still needs to work with the town against the Reavers, until they are all gone. With a recruit, they must be eliminated to the last so stop being a threat.

There are seven of us today. Let's assume two reavers, and one alliance killer.

Today:
Scenario 1: If we lynch the alliance killer today, then tomorrow, we are at six players, three of whom are reavers, then we lose.
Scenario 2: If we lynch one of the two reavers today, and the alliance player hits town tonight, then we are at two town, one scum, two cult, and in it's lylo for everyone.
Scenario 3: If we lynch one of the two reavers today, and the alliance player hits the other reaver tonight, then tomorrow we will have 4 town, 1 scum, 1 cult.

Tomorrow:
Scenario 1: There is no tomorrow, we already lost.
Scenario 2: The alliance killer needs to kill cult again to even stand a chance. And thus acts like a vig. If we hit both cult, then on the next day, there will be a three way tie, and town will lose.
Scenario 3: If we lynch the cultist, then and only then will the alliance member be able to start killing town. And the next day will be three town, 1 scum (but we won't know whether we are in this scenario, or whether there is still cult left, and things get really interesting.

Now, all of that assumes that we didn't get all of the alliance for some reason, rather than us having a Vigilante. If our intrepid killer is a vigilante then we are in much better shape.

Again, it is for this reason that we must work together to root out the cult, and only the cult. Any other plan leads to cult win.

You missed a lot of scenarios. Namely, if people are recruited during the night.

Also, in Scenario 1, how do you know that 3-3 = a win for reavers? You know their win condition? 3-3 is certainly not a majority, which would normally be the win condition.

If a tied votal = random choice, we could still do it. Of course, it would mean winning 3 coin tosses, but it's possible.

I assumed worst case scenario, that there would be a recruit every night. I know that there are tonnes of other scenarios, but those ones seem like the most likely, given the assumption of there still being an alliance member left. Most of the other scenarios are easily extrapolated from these few. If we lynch town and town gets killed tonight for example, then we also lose.

There is also the possibility that there are three reavers now, and even with two town and two non-town, non-cult (one claimed independent, and one scum assuming that they are both not culted) the reavers don't have a majority, and can still all die, it's just really hard.

That said, if Angua is reminding us about mpolo's power, does that make her the original reaver?

Right, so currently we have no vanilla claims except for Inara, who is a much better person to be a jail keeper by fluff. I think that perhaps that lynching Inara is a better option for today than lynching Angua. But only barely.

Blergh, I'm not getting my head around this game at all.

First of all, since it's apparently the fashion:
Unvote

Right, here's how things look from where I stand:

If we have an original reaver left, then on the basis of the claims the two suspects have to be amy and BF. If we don't have original reavers, then I guess pretty much everyone's a possible...

Amy - whatever else she might be, she's not part of the serenity crew (yes, you can take that as a claim). At a guess I'd say she was Alliance, although I can think of some possible third-party roles - or she an original reaver. I think from her play the odds are against her being a reaver however, and with a cult on the loose that means she's not our priority.

I still find the Inara Vanilla claim implausible. I think I'm most happy with a Roband lynch. A BF lynch comes in second, with angua and mpolo third and fourth respectively.

Wow, what a fast lynch.

The last seven circle around.
"Amy has declared herself not town."
"mpolo is a reaver, he is more dangerous."
"This is getting us nowhere, let's list out our order of who we want to lynch."
"AGREED"
And with that the circling stopped, if just for a few moments, but that was all that was needed. A quick rush pushed Angua out the airlock and into space. A burst of energy that left all involved winded and ready for a night.

Angua has been lynched, it is now night 6.

Day dawned once again on this not so happy piece of junk floating around in space.
"And take that." BANG!
As everyone rushed towards the sound of the gunshot, they noticed something, not only was this Angua's room, it was also the room of mpolo, who happened to be laying on the floor dead, looking oddly mutilated, along with the bullet wound.
The room was in some of disarray, looking as if too had been mutilated.

Angua was Zoe Washburne, reaver.
mpolo is now dead.
mpolo was Hoban Washburne, reaver.

It is now Day 7.
5 Players, 3 to lynch.
Possible LYLO

Right... ok, so I guess the big question is, why is it possible LYLO? It wasn't a possible LYLO yesterday, so that means there weren't 3 reavers yesterday. So either mpolo got a recuit in last night (or was recruited last night) before dying, or the threat is now from alliance.

I made a brain scanner last night. It's not as good as an investigate apparently, but it will detect brain damage, which mechanically lets me detect if someone is a reaver.

I've used it on Roband, because I still think that Inara makes much more sense as a jail keeper than Wash, and I don't think that there is any alliance left, so it stands to reason that Inara could have been the blocker, getting Wash to take the heat for the actions.

I'm waiting on the response, so I'll hold my vote off for now.
