I can see that I can have a look at the traffic conditions on the road from historic/real time updates.
I can also see that Google gives me an anticipated travel time if I leave now.
Is there any way to get a travel time (based on historic data) for travel in the future?
I want to give my two waypoints and say I'm leaving on Wednesday at 1045 h. Can it tell me how long it should take?

Yes, you can change the time to a future date. Simply input your two waypoints as you normally would and get directions. Make sure to add the traffic layer. In the bottom left corner above the map scale you'll see the key for traffic speeds and "live traffic." Next to that is the option "change." Click that and you'll have options to change the time/date of the traffic.

I can see that, but it doesn't update the travel time. It does show me the congestion, but not the travel time.
