As expected, mafia killed the cop target, who also happened to be one of my favorite townies. They also took the risk of voting for Adam H, another one of my favorite townies.

So... who will be blamed? I imagine Snark will gather some suspicion, but that that might die off with an argument like "scum isn't usually that aggressive." I expect those who passively agreed with him to face much greater trouble.

Turtle protected Snark, as expected, with a 3-0 vote. Nothing else nonpublic and exciting to report, other than Adam H making a quick "here's where my suspicions lie" message for his turtlemates:

Here's all the stuff I would have said yesterday if I had the time:

If webby doesn't die, don't discount the possibility that snark and webby are scummates. But I'd be surprised if webby doesn't die.

It's a really bad argument to say that "any lynch is better than no lynch", so I very suspicious of misnomer and TMG (and whoever else said something along those lines). Lynching town is obviously worse than not lynching anyone. Especially in this game, where we more or less determine who the scum kills based on who we investigate.

Mod Note: I realized I wasn't clear enough on the Bird Party action, so I had to make a decision. The unclear thing: I never said whether the recipient is told who the target was. I went with "yes, let's say who it was", since I felt I was implying that and since it's weak enough as it is. (Not that it mattered tonight, since the recipient knew which way the Bird vote was going.)

I sincerely apologize to town - I was way too hasty with my posts. It worked out that I got lots of little 10 minute breaks during the day to post, which is not a good way to avoid looking scummy. Especially with my crazy brain. I usually take a ridiculous amount of time to edit my posts and make them as clear/concise/not-ridiculous-sounding as I can. Not that it ever works!

I thought there was a decent chance scum would kill someone else N1, actually. Snark might have been an easy lynch target if he cleared webby but webby didn't die. But it would have been a gamble that scum doesn't really need to make, I suppose.

ps I never claimed and see I told you, it never helps to claim when someone has it out for you because they dont believe you, especially with someone like Roband who has had it out for me from day 1. If I would have straight out said "I'm not alliance, I'm serenity" he would have responded the same way. The only way he would be happy is if I said I was alliance.

In which case....fuck you town because if I do pull plan b you are definitely screwed. You can chose to be eaten by reavers or killed by alliance. Unless we decide happily ever after.

Someone, please actually read the Bear Party power. If you all go Bear, it's to make it useless, not to gain town a double-lynch.

Also, as more of a meta-point: all other things being equal, having more lynches per day makes town more powerful, not less.

For a game with n players...
0 lynches/day = mafia wins by default, not even a game
1 lynch/day = standard
...
...
...
n-1 lynches/day = find someone townie, lynch everyone else, town wins
n lynches/day = depending on how the rules are written, town wins by default, or at least can force a draw

2: town will lynch whoever is a bigger threat of scum and vampire.

So, seeing how mpolo would want scum to be as big a threat as possible to make town lynch us, why would he want to attack me?!
Ah well, I think I did what I intended to do; cause confusion. There's a vampire out there ready for getting lynched, a CF that's gonna get his ass busted soon if I instructed my fellow scummers right, and I don't think anyone's onto fearless anytime soon.

Ah, but you left out n-2 lynches/day, which definitely gives worse odds than 1 lynch/day (scum wins unless you can find TWO townies).

Though I agree that the OPTION of more lynches can't really be a bad thing.

Only if the lynches are simultaneous. If they're sequential, then it's just a game where the mafia doesn't have a kill - you still have to lynch down to two townies and no scum.
