There are currently four votes on Adam. Did you count matt96's?

Unofficial votals:
Snark (5): ForAllOfThis, wam, Webby, fearless, t1mm01994
Adam H (4): Angua, BoomFrog, matt96, ahammel

Yeah - tim if you vote now, you should be safe, lynchwise. Also, it would decrease a vote for snark, meaning that Krong is unlikely to manage to change votes.

In that case, I'll be killed by werewolves, and krong/Snark by some other faction.
By the way, I think there are only 2 killing facitons; vamps and wolves. DBC's flavour doesn't sound like he was night killed, it sounds like he killed himself for whichever reason. Wolves won't kill snark.. Ah well. We'll see.

No, I didn't overreact!!! Nor did I admit to overreacting!!! My reaction was a desperate attempt to undo the damage that you did with your horrible horrible comment!

In the last scumteam I was on (Amy's surprise game), my scummates all agreed that since A) there were more than one faction, and B) no one pays any attention to the NKs, that we should kill the people most suspicious of us. THAT is the consensus opinion of this forum, and until I see that change, I think Snark made a COMPLETELY valid point.

When it comes to lataro, it's hard to tell.

Also, I'm not really sure how Adam would find out that Lataro is a miller? Is that usual for role cops vs normal cops?

Thats nice.

I'll keep that in mind tomorrow when looking at players trying to lynch the claimed cop after he dies tonight and is revealed as telling the truth.

As to matt96, I had mixed feelings, nothing that I'm going to go deeply into as I'm leaving in a couple minutes for work.

You do that - if it was anyone else that he'd given the results of, I would probably have believed him. As it is, I'm not sure what to think. I also think being able to find out someone is a miller somewhat defeats the purpose of the role.

I'm not too broken up about a snark lynch because if t1mm's right (and no one's said otherwise) then usually one of the lovers is scum. 1 for 1 is an OK tradeoff, I think. Couple that with the possibility that Snark is lying (which means he's scum).

But I still can't believe t1mm survived today. I'd be absolutely flabbergasted if t1mm was not scum.

Not sure I want to see a Snark lynch. I've played a couple of other games with him, and to be honest I think it's just his general playing style that comes across as scummy. This is exactly how he's acted in both the games I've seen him as town. For that reason alone, I'm inclined to think he isn't scum. My vote on T1mm stays, because between him and Adam, I think he's a dash more likely to be scum.

I'm not really convinced by the towniness of either claim.

The cop seems extremely detailed and sounds like a scum rolecop, a town rolecop who gets that much information seems a bit powerful. Being lovers is no guarantee that both are town, but no guarantee that one is scum, either. According to mafiascum, lovers of all alignments are possible. Often if they're both town they are given this information, but in this case it seems that they weren't.

I'm going to keep my vote on Snark because Krong + Snark are weaker than two average townies given that if one dies the other does too, and also because I think that just as likely as both being town is that they're from opposing scum teams. Another option I can think of is that they are both dusk druids wanting to be nightkilled.

I'm not going to risk lynching the cop, although I wish to note that I don't think rolecop is necessarily a town role.

...shadows... lies... return... demon...

...kill.

Misnomer cried out with horror at the sight before him - or at least he would have, had not the sheer terror of his predicament not robbed him of all ability to speak. There before him the mutilated body lay and in his hands - oh God, in HIS hands - was the bloodied axe. How had this happened? How had become a weapon for the use of others? Driven by fear he once again ran. He ran and he ran until he tripped and -

Misnomer woke up in his bed in the infirmary. Collecting his senses, he realised that it was just a dream. I mean, it must have just been a dream, right? As Misnomer calmed himself down and allowed a far more pleasant sleep to return to him, the mutilated body of Outnuendo waited in a side street of Xkcdia for the new dawn to uncover it...

Outnuendo has been modkilled for inactivity.

Meanwhile, the townsfolk were getting pretty violent themselves. Despite their best efforts, there was no consensus on who should be lynched, and the town divided into three groups, each accusing a different person of being a supernatural monstrosity. Some claimed that the werewolf was Snark, others that it was T1mm01994, others still that it was Adam H.

As the sun began to set in the sky, the arguing still continued, and tempers began to fray. Realising that there was no way any peaceful agreement could come about, ForAllOfThis decided to take matters into his own hands. Grabbing a nearby rifle, he set his sights upon his target and fired.

'SNAAARRRRK!!'

Suddenly, Krong dived in front of Snark as the rifle fired, taking the full force of the shot. With a gasp, he collapsed to the ground, mortally wounded.

'Krong...? KROOONG!! NO! NOOOO! YOU CA-'

The sound of the rifle shooting rang out again, and this time ForAllOfThis hit his intended target. The life draining from him, Snark fell to the ground as well.

Using the last of his energy, Krong reached out and took Snark's hand. Smiling at the man he tried to save from his fate, Krong laugh weakly... 'Heh... I guess it looks like we're dying together Snark...'

'What did I tell your Krong?' Snark whispered back, tears streaming from his eyes as he squeezed Krong's hand tight, 'I said we'd always do everything important together...'

And with that, Krong and Snark passed on from this world to the next, hand in hand all the way.

Snark has been lynched and is now dead.

Krong has also died, from a broken heart.

All role details will be revealed at the start of the next day.

For those that remained in the mortal world however, the story was far from over. Indeed, as the townsfolk made their way back to their homes, many were of the opinion that the battle for Xkcdia has only just begun...

It is now Night 2. The deadline for actions to be sent in is 6pm BST Sunday 22nd of April.

I'm still waiting on quite a lot of actions back - if you haven't sent them in, do so ASAP. A hard deadline is now in place for 6pm BST Monday April 23rd. If I still haven't got actions from you by then, then you've lost your chance to do anything this night.

Re: Werewolf - Day 3: Death Reveals All

Postby Misnomer » Mon Apr 23, 2012 8:12 pm UTC

The night was long and fitful... and dark things were on the move.

Outside of Webby's house, the cloaked figure watched and waited. To any casual observer, the figure would have appeared most unextraordinary... unless, of course, they happened to glance at the lake and noticed that the figure left no reflection. However, no casual observer interrupted the strangers' vigil, and with the morning's first light they were gone.

The daylight brought with it two further bodies, adding to the three from the night before. Both Lataro and Angua had joined the ranks of the dead.

Turning to Lataro first, they found him surrounded by bomb-making equipment and revolutionary literature. It looks like they'd all been living with an anarchist in their midst!

Lataro is now dead. He was an Anarchist, Town. He had the ability to target a player each night to rig them with explosives, and then a 1-shot day power that would have killed everyone he had targeted. He would also have appeared as a miller to certain investigations.

The townsfolk were in two minds about whether or not it was a good thing that they wouldn't be suddenly blown up when they least suspected it. However, they were soon distracted by a far more momentous discovery...

Examining the bodies of Angua, Krong and Outnuendo, the townsfolk noticed something very strange. The eyes of all three of them had turned bright red. Could this be the work of the supernatural? They were soon to find out.

As the moon finally set beneath the horizon of the morning sky, the wind suddenly picked up and howled through the town. In front of their very eyes, they saw the trio transform into their true forms for the final time. Fur, claws, razor-sharp teeth... they were werewolves, all three of them! And they were all dead!

Angua is now dead. She was the Werewolf Graverobber, Anti-town. She received information at the start of each night about the role and alignment of that day's lynchee.
Outnuendo was the Werewolf Huntmaster, Anti-town. He had a tracking ability.
Krong was the Werewolf Mage, Anti-town. He had the power to redirect people from their chosen target to a target of his choice. He was also the Lover of Snark, and could send him love letters on odd-numbered nights.

The townsfolk rejoiced at the news: only yesterday the situation had looked bleak, but now there was no doubt that things were looking up for Xkcdia. However, the morning had one more surprise in store...

'Ermm... guys?' said wam, standing over Snark's corpse, 'You might want to look at this...'

wam was holding in his hands a letter that he had found in Snark's jacket pocket. A quick inspection revealed it to be a set of instructions for the protection of certain 'favourable' targets. The names were all heavily encoded, but the repeated references to the 'family business' made things perfectly clear.

Xkcdia may have been out in the sticks, but its people still read the news. They knew about what was going on in the cities. Terrifying criminal gangs, seizing power by force... and now it was happening in their very own neighbourhood. The Mafia had come to Xkcdia.

Snark was a Mafia Soldier, Anti-town. He had an all-purpose protection ability. He was also lovers with Krong, and could send him love letters on even-numbered nights.

For all their earlier celebration, the townsfolk now knew that the situation was as dangerous as ever. Clearly, they would need to lynch again, and lynch well...

It is now Day 3. 13 12 of you left alive, so 7 votes needed for a majority lynch. Provisional deadline set for 6pm BST, Saturday 29th April.
