Being able to eat them without worrying about inconvenient problems such as ketones and long-term organ failure... that would make diabetics happy, I think.

Wikipedia wrote: The Gravitation3d Magic 5D Cube software is capable of rendering 5-cube puzzles in six sizes from 25 to 75. As well as the ability to make moves on the cube there are controls to change the view. These include controls for rotating the cube in 3-space, 4-space and 5-space, 4-D and 5-D perspective controls, cubie and sticker spacing and size controls, similar to Subliminal's 4D cube. However, a 5-D puzzle is much more difficult to comprehend on a 2-D screen than a 4-D puzzle is. An essential feature of the Gravitation3d implementation is the ability to turn off or highlight chosen cubies and stickers. Even so, the complexities of the images produced are still quite severe as can be seen from the screen shots. Gravitation3d maintains a Hall of Insanity for record breaking solvers of this puzzle. As of 6th, January 2011, there has been two successful solutions for the 75 size of 5-cube.[3]
I repeat: somebody has solved a scrambled 5-dimensional 7x7x7x7x7 Rubik's Cube. Twice.
I'm not sure whether to be awed that such a figure has graced us mere mortals with his presence or terrified that such a mind exists and might potentially be used for devious purposes. I'd love to see the algorithms he used, though.
It's worth noting that the 6-D 3x3, 7-D 3x3, and 6-D 4x4 have also been solved.

I finally found inspiration for the embroidery pattern for the blue velvet dress I'm making. (I've been struggling with this for a couple of years now.) Sketched it up this afternoon, vector'd it up this evening. I'll have more tweaking to do later on with fresh eyes, but it's mostly done. Now I just have to resist deciding that doing it entirely in gold fill [beads|wire|what have you] is the Right Thing...
My feet are too tiny and normally I never find a pair of shoes that I actually love but I did today. Ah the joy! Guess I'll be going to Hush Puppies more often. Sadly they don't have much variety in design but worth looking at henceforth.
Summer is miles and miles away, and no one would ask me to stay. And I, should contemplate this change... to ease the pain. And I, should step out of the rain... turn away.

Mary Lou Retton said something about not being able to find shoes in size 3 that didn't have Micky Mouse on them.

She's mostly right. Funnily enough, I got my non-mickey shoes from a place called "Hush Puppies" and... it's a serious looking pair :/

I just had a party. At this party, there was a drunken Irishman. He wanted to go along with us into town, but he didn't have a bicycle. So I told him he could come with on the back of mine. I was more sober than he was, yet he was doubting me. I've been riding bikes my entire life, drinking for the past 8 and I'm pretty damn good at both. At first, he was scared. 5 minutes later, we were singing Irish drinking songs! It was awesome!
EDIT: Okay it's only awesome because it boosts my self-esteem even if just by a bit. The book in itself isn't awesome

The new Carve library that Blender uses for boolean operations is AWESOME and so much faster than the old one. Upgrading from 2.57 to 2.62 makes a HECK of a difference. An operation that wouldn't complete at all now takes less than a second against two simple meshes and about five against a more complex one. Shapeways, here I come.
Awesome: getting an internship for the summer. Awesomer: getting paid for the internship. Awesomest: I'm going to get upper-level college credit for the internship!
Also, I gave blood today. I feel like a worthwhile member of society.

At first I didn't realize you could attach them by clicking on them and I was still amused watching them destroy my screen. Then afterward I found you could kill them! I probably spent too much time on that. I even went to the other room to get my external mouse because my trackpad was not cutting it.

I think I have met the girl of my dreams. She has pretty much every personality that I would want in a girl. I am happy. Though we have known each other for a while she is currently not in the same city.
I'm trying to force myself to do things and not be constantly depressed so I played paintball for the first time in my life. I also cleaned/rearranged my room and cupboard. Amie: 1 Depression: 0
