Spoiler:
So anyone have any theories on who the mystery man is that Castle met in the garage? At first I thought it was Becket's father but that doesn't make much sense on second thought. Anyone know what happened to Becket's dad I can't remember if they ever mentioned him.

Spoiler:
She does have a dad - you see him once or twice but he's not that memorable. I am trying to figure out what is going on with the conspiracy - at first I thought there were 2 of them, then I realised that there could be one and they besmirched the mayor enough to ruin his plans for governor, but they kept him in office so Castle could stay.

Spoiler:
HOLY MOTHER OF GOD WHAT A CLIFF HANGER!?!?

Finally, it's
Spoiler:
SPIES! And Castle didn't even guess at it this time.

But
Spoiler:
surely they will escape? But how?!

And also - in the "40s episode" -
Spoiler:
that was a pretty decent twist. I normally spot them coming, but was so off the mark with this one.

All in all? Wow.

I don't know, I'm not that impressed with them being pushed into the ocean. They'll probably just swim out and hide under the pier.

Spoiler:
Not that they'll necessarily be accurate about it, but it actually very quickly becomes difficult to open the doors of a car that's sinking, due to the pressure. So you have to wait until the car fills up with water and the pressure is equalized before you can get out. And by that time the car has sunk down far enough that you might not make it to the surface in time.

Even if they wind up just opening the doors and swimming under the pier, I still thought it was a good cliffhanger.

The guy that got bitten and seemed off his rocker for anyone else wondering. Castle has been a sci-fi easter egg treasure trove for the past two episodes. Zombies (and zombie walks), Mass Effect, Firefly...

Major finale spoilers warning.

MOTHER
EFFIN

Also, hey that guy from Dollhouse and BSG. That was a damn good episode for a finale. I can't wait to see where they take it next season... hopefully not just leaving Kate resigned.

Ponies. But it makes many of the rest of the episodes feel like filler, however enjoyable they may regardless be.

Also, I thought episode 22 was really walking the line between dramatic irony and being unrealistic.

Catching up on Castle again, several episodes behind, and I'd just like to give this years Worst English Accent award to the dude from Scotland Yard.

More major spoilers
Spoiler:
FINALLY!
There not gonna leave Beckett resigned, Gates won't have sent the letter yet or something like that. Or it will be Caskett detective services :P More worried about Ryan and Espesito.
Also, weird to be seeing Tahmoh Penikett as a bad guy.

I really wanted them to be eaten by the zombies. You know, random zombie apocalypse! Maybe continue the episode normally after the commercial break...but still. Would have been perfect. Unexpected.

This week's Castle has a sci-fi series that was cancelled years ago after a single season, and has an adoring fan base? What could that possibly be an allusion to, I wonder?

He also says "shiny", and in a list of great sci-fi includes "That Joss Wheadon show". So much Firefly love in this episode.
