I don't know why everyone is sure that the hammerer is the only one who could get nailed by this. I'm sure I've played where a random player or two is killed.

I'm going to to put a vote down on Angua. My reasons are: 1) I dislike not voting, and 2) Angua thought JSO was a jester before eculc died.

Two very weak reasons, especially since I also think JSO is a jester. It's more of a gut feeling I suppose. Something about the unwillingness to comment on JSO other than to say that maybe he's jester. Nonetheless:

Hah, I was just coming on here to see how it was going, and reading the responses (and roband) figured I might as well vote for JSO and take the risk. So, Adam, I was about to vote anyway. I'm not really sure why me thinking JSO was a jester before eculc died makes me suspicious - I gave my reasons for that clearly (ie role claiming before any votes were actually placed on them). Also, Adam is the one now saying don't vote for JSO in case you get killed, which was my reason for not voting for a suspected jester (though people saying that it's most likely the hammerer who would get it makes me feel more comfortable now).

Anyway, not much else - I gave blood today and am now stuffed from dinner, so feeling very tired.

Or they targeted somebody who's NK-immune. Or they were affected by the mass roleblock as well and the mod chose not to reveal this information for some reason. Or a mafioso has some crazy power which makes it appear that the NK target is still alive, but he or she can't post or vote.

Hey, this is a crazy game, but I'm not about to look a gift horse in the mouth. Unless it's that last one, in which case this gift horse sucks and I'm looking it right the hell in the mouth.

I doubt the mod would lie to us, so I'm guessing that the mafia targeted someone who is NK immune, or they didn't get their act together and lost their kill.

I suppose that both explanations (mafia forgot to send or someone is bulletproof) are possible. Neither one really gets us a lot further in this, although Woopate would get a certain amount of suspicion from his inactivity if it were the former. I don't think we can absolutely say that it was mafia inactivity because of the delay, because the whole thing occured over the weekend, and firm deadlines tend to get soft there.

About my inactivity, I'm really sorry(sudden move, new job, I haven't even unpacked anything at all and it's been a week. I had little time to invest so I invested it in the mafia I was neck-deep in, faid-fallout). I think the random burst of energy is really strange. Doubly strange is the lack of a kill. Might be a preset block, might be scum didn't get their act together. It might be a result of Loki's death. In any case it buys us time.

JSO made so many claims I don't even know if there's useful information to be had anywhere in that mess. His secondary ability was *not* redemption, but telepathy. It's probably safe to assume that his accusations are useless. I'll compile them in a post when I get access to a PC, just to be sure. It might also be useful to look at what was going on when he started acting funky. He was mafia, so his actions were not without purpose (I believe playing to lose is against the rules). It was probably either a delaying tactic or to protect someone.

Someone claimed a cop of some sort. There a chance we can get clarification on that?

Hmmm... we were discussing the vote-rigger/double-voter at the time when JSO popped in with his "mafia traitor" line. He used his popping in to put pressure on eclulc. It seems odd that either of these was enough reason for him to essentially serve himself up on a platter.

On the other hand, Woopate's coming in so quickly for comment on the new day makes his being a lone mafioso who forgot to send in an action somewhat less likely.

Three mafiosi probably isn't enough anyway, considering some of the clearly anti-town types that were in the signup list, so I think the "mafia so absent that no one submitted a kill" is rather unlikely.

One thing I'm somewhat sure about is that scum knew that his traitor claim was coming, because otherwise their reaction to his claim might have been dangerous. And therefore they probably endorsed the plan to claim traitor.

It's clearly not his win condition, so it seems unlikely that he was trying to get daykilled unless that would've killed a number of townies.

I would think the energy bolt was unrelated, as it didn't fit with his secondary power (telepathy) and I don't think that sort of thing is what Loki is primarily known for. I'm not especially familiar with Thor, though, so feel free to correct me.

You're joking right? I outed MODOK D1 and pushed hard for the lynch of Loki D2. Only way I'm scum is if I'm scum traitor. If I was a traitor, I'd most likely have been NKed by my one of my scum-mates.
